Here's a thought I had while playing through the first few scenarios.

Advancing the AI turn using the mouse became tiresome.
I had to keep my hand on the mouse and glance at the "AI Continue" button
each time to make sure my cursor hadn't wandered away.

Is there a way to make a keyboard shortcut for this action? Maybe the space bar?
Perhaps when the default single unit movement is changed, the space bar could then halt the AI movement so
Opportunity Fire/Defensive Fire could be made. Hitting the space bar again would continue AI movement.

The Tab or Enter key could be used to advance through the various turn segments.

This way you could keep you eyes on the map as things happened.

Just a thought. . . .

Keyboard hot keys are really required in a game that so heavily relies upon mouse input.

1) a way too se how far u can move
2) a % chance too hit
3) dif. to front side and rear amour
4) a way too see the chance too pennetrate a tiger with a 75mm gun

really Things I think are critilly importent in games like this

I agree that the UI could use some hotkeys. It's a one man project and maybe in the future there will be some changes and tweaks. Overall the system works even if the mouse usage is much higher than what we have become accustomed to.

Not sure about seeing all the numbers behind the calculations. I have been using my knowledge of what would be considered a reasonable battlefield assumption by the units themselves. A MMG firing at a running squad 120 meters away is going to do some damage or at least pin so I take the shot. An American Bazooka shooting at a Tiger's front aspect from 120 meters, nah, don't think it's worth it. I just focus on the tactical situation and let the computer do the hard work, I don't need to know that I have a 1.3% chance of taking out that Stug. As someone once said "never tell me the odds!"

This thread should be moved to the main discussion area.

What Monkie said - not sure why this thread is in the Mod section. Peter, maybe you could move to the main discussion area?

We will move this thread as soon as we can, for some reason Peter and I can't move threads in the sub folders. Please post in the Feature Request thread for things you would like or think should be in the game.
