Editor seems pretty smooth to me (OSX running this in WINE on an older iMac w/512MB Radeon 5670) but the game is nearly unplayable ... when I click on a unit to move it, for example it takes between 5 and 8 second for the hexes to highlight to show where it can be moved. Then right-clicking the hex, the unit takes maybe another 3 seconds to move that one hex.

Is this delay normal or is it just my poor set-up (WINE on an older machine)?

Not normal, it's pretty much instantaneous for me.

as your the first to mention it, and the cpu and memory use of the game is quite low tbh, i'd also say it's emulation and not hardware / software etc.

as your spec should be more than enough so i'd guess you need to tweak how to use it, but have no suggestions for Mac's i'm sorry to say on how to do it either
