Status: offline 		I've always wondered what it would have been like if the US & USSR hadn't finished WWII as allies, but had experienced a 'falling out' and ended up fighting.

Here's a starting scenario in that alternate history world, a brief meeting engagement between moderately comparable units of the American and Russian armies.

Now if my lack of technical expertise doesn't interfere with my getting the scenario attached to this post...We'll see.



-> Note, in response to casebier's pointing out that there's a traitorous US unit at hex 4,0 which has put on Soviet uniforms, I've removed that bad boy and posted a revised version of the scenario in my 2nd post, a few down from here.

My US tanks are getting tore up! Lost 4 so far and haven't even dented a Russian tank yet. Start of Turn 3.

Ack! No, there was not supposed to be a Russian unit at 4,0. Apparently the NKVD successfully bribed the American unit to switch sides. Have terminated traitors with prejudice and replaced with a more loyal US unit there instead.

A pleasure to see some of you trying it. Any/all comments are more than welcome.

Update: OSS intel source reports a large German R & D complex which has been occupied by Soviet forces approx 15 kilometers SE. Attempting to clarify size of Soviet force and precise location of complex. Standby for update & details when additional data becomes available.
