Tried my hand this evening at creating my own original air art which I hope will blend in well with Cathartes' original AE air art. I think it came out pretty good so I’m going to try more of them eventually. Unlike my previous air art this is not just a cut, paste and shrink job created from another artists finished product. Rather I created it using a black and white line drawing which I fleshed out. I believe this is similar to the method Cathartes’ used on his plane sides. I believe he started with line drawings for his creations.

Below will be a running preview of all the air art I create using this method. In following posts I’ll attach the actual game files for DL.

This is the drawing that served as the foundation for the plane.

Thanks. I'm trying to fill in some planes from the mid 1930s that aren't in AE. Maybe someone could do a mod on a WW2 in the PTO starting in the 1930s. Curtis A-12 Shrike attached below:

Hi Paradigmblue, I'll give it a go on a D.520 in the near future. Still working on some earlier 1930s A/C for the moment. Bleriot-Spad s.510 is attached below.

Hi Paragigmblue, I haven't forgotten. Working on D-520 now. I have the side complete. Still need to work on the tops. I'll probably have to finish tomorrow as I'm about to leave.

If i may give my opinion regarding the french ones, the blue circle seems too big compared to the roundel size.

See http://cocardes.monde.online.fr/v2html/fr/pays/france.html and attached picture.

That's gorgeous Gary, thank you.

Would you mind if I suggested a few others for Focus Pacific? I don't want to impose.

Hi Skyland,

Thanks for the feedback. I looked closer and think I had the colors on the emblems a little off as well. How do these look, the ones that say "after"?

Can you do a Ku-8 Gandor - better still of one being towed? It is more or less a Ki-34 without engines.
