hello guys

I like edit scenarios of games for my personal taste and play and I want ask 3 questions:

1) How I can limit a section of map for micro-scenario? for example Aleutian Islands only ?

2) on editor where I can find and create new LCU units ? in location list there are locations and basis with LCU units in box with a number on right and a other number number on left for example location Ota ( 3195 221st Div 450523 ) what means the number 3195 ? I think that 450523 is availability date ?

3) how create ex-novo locations? for example if I want create a LCU unit on Amlia Island ?

1) You have to specify the x/y coordinates left/top to right/bottom.
2) 3195 is the location ID of the 221st Div, and YYMMDD the availability3) or withdrawal date. In your case 23rd May 1945.
3) You have to put in a base ID for the LCU, no-delay or the date it is supposed to show up there.

If you want to make an Aleutians scenario, you could just use the 1000 Mile War scenario which already has that area designated. But Oberst Klink is right, put in the coordinates of the corners of the map you want. You can see examples in some of the smaller scenarios like Coral Sea, the 1000 Mile War, and Guadalcanal.

tnx !

some clarifications:

1) where I can specify the coordinates of map? for example I open scenario War in the Pacific : Hachio Hikku to edit it. where I can edit a box of scenario map ? on scenario list maybe ?

2) I can create a new LCU and a new ID on blank string of Location list ? on LCU description list there is "near" box and a list of locations, if I want put the LCU on location not listed, How I can edit a new location on scenario map?

1) In the Editor there's a tab called Scenario... there you find the parameters.
2) Yes, you can create a new LCU or modify an existing one in the location list. You can place the LCU in a base or at any other hex with the x/y coordinates. A new base, airfield or location, the same. Find a blank spot and add the name of your base, fill out the rest of the parameters, e.g. supply, airfield(s), etc.
Will post a screenshot in a bit...

tnx u !!!

I found the way to edit map, I have to see the coordinate of map in gaming , sign the numbers of offboard map coordinates from left to right and from up to bottom, in scenario edit I modify the scenario map with new coordinates. Its very good editor :)

I modded in successfull way a bit of things, I found the way to "clone" ingame ships changing ID and name only too, in this way I'm enjoying to see ingame "clones" of Yamato that are playable without problems

I'm planning to make a my personal scenario of super-fictional Japan invasion of US, ( not kill me....)

I like this editor :)

tnx you for help !

well I made a box of map of western coast of US and I set on 2 february 1945, in this way all LCUs and fleets( apart garrisons, cities and facilities ) are vanished. I will try to "create" extracting stuff from other scenario ( copy & paste numbers and names and IDs and other stuff ) to "populate" the scenario :)

Its a scenario without industrial management of course and limited lenght time, I think that its not hard to make especially for full fiction feature.

It's a pity S.Francisco outside map :(

I have a problem:

I modified the nationality of city ( for example Oak Harbor )

I tried to attach on Oak Harbor "city" ( like experimentation ) a HQ IJA Army naming it "Alaska Army" and I filled boxes like the standard HQ armies of original list of scenario. There is the HQ unit on map. I copy content of standard IJA A Div of OOB standard list on other blank strings ( ID string 2544 ) and I rename it and I try to attack the ID unit on HQ. I not see the infantry Div on Map. ( I set 0 delay ).

oh well found the solution, I wrong the string

" Japanese ground units must be located in slots 3005-4999."

right! I set other string between 3005 and 4999 and LCU are shown on map now!

I changed size of map, now Japanese player can have Pearl Harbour like main navy base, Anchorage and Vancouver like army bases. Japanese forces will be equipped with experimental and undeveloped weapons of late war period like Type 5 that will be the backbone to counter the US bulk of Sherman tanks.

I want make a balanced scenario, not realistic or historical based of course :)

no no german stuff, a bit of more late period aircrafts like the Nakajima,Kyushu, tanks like Type 5 and a fun balanced challenge on sea also, its a scenario for fun only :)

I modifidied canadadian basis now, I want put a bit of little "partisan" and basis with high garrison in Alaska and Canada, a sort of "Red Dawn" :P

its ok, Its not a "serious" scenario to upload, its a my idea to enjoy with very good editor of game :)
