Status: offline 		I want to open up about something, I mean really open up. I'm sick and tired of having my heart melted and my jaw dropped. My doctor is real concerned about that heart melting stuff. Where does this crap come from? Also why do we get these come ons about "Here's a list of 15 celebrities who've had a sex change" and they show a pic of Brad Pitt? Or "Here's 10 star athletes who've declared bankruptcy" and show a pic of Tom Brady? Then they say #8 will "shock you" or "make your jaw drop"? Or these come ons where (you know where I'm from) "Missouri drivers are furious about this new rule"? Every flippin' day there's a new rule I never heard of and have yet to be pulled over for.
And all these crazy things have been "selected for you". What did I do to cause this? And why do so many of these come ons show some chick with triple D tits? Or some old person looking shocked, miserable or distressed? Yeah, those ones with the old people always say "Obama did this or ordered that". I'm just a poor old gorn and don't get the ways of this world, somebody help me out.

The ability of computers to write text is getting better and better all the time. Some news articles on mainstream news sites are now written by computers and in a few years, they will probably be putting journalists out of work.

I do work and know my tiny bits of 'online marketing', SEO, SEM ;) Autodidactic... no degree of some posh university or college :D Regarding the quick response... I get email notifications and when I am online and in the mood to answer, I just do that. Talking about other forums... I am active in helping/assisting my fellow compatriots at the SI-Form with an ongoing WitP AE AAR tutorial... in German.

You have a lot of icons on your desktop. I delete most when they are installed and I never use the desktop. On one computer I have a Raiden and P-47G for wallpaper and the other has a F4U-1a and F6F-5 Hellcat, all restored examples at Chino. Both are two monitor systems.

Status: offline 		Most of those I added so I delete when I'm sure I'm done with them. Airplane porn just doesn't do it for me. Gorn porn is difficult to come by in this part of the galaxy. I hate it when it when I'm trying to save something and it wants to send it to "Pictures" or "Documents". I do everything from the desktop, it's so much easier (for me). If I deleted those folders "Pictures" and "Documents" would there be any problem? Would the system recreate them even though I don't want them? I hate Windows. It keeps trying to make me do what it wants instead of what I want.

I am a German, as in German German in Germany :) And no, never been involved with No Such Agency... I am in the USA every year in MD/PA/WV/VA etc because I got friends there (and I did ACW re-eneactments and still do historical excursions) and I also organised 3x a meeting (with limited success) of TOAW players from the Mid-Atlantic area... -> last year (let's see if you can spot me)

Just don't watch it bro. I'll start a list of all the stuff I've never watched. I have never watched a reality show. Any of them. I've never seen an episode of "Game of Thrones" or "Breaking Bad" or "The Sopranos". Some of that is there's just too much out there.
I watched "Boardwalk Empire". I watched "The Killing" even though a friend I made watch it didn't want to. He made me watch "Dante's Inquest" or whatever it was. (Wasn't too bad). I did watch "Newsroom" and Ms. Munn is a hottie and I do like freckles. There's just too much stuff and I don't have a time machine. Especially if I have a campaign going on.

A recent survey reported that 1 out of 3 software developers feared being replaced by Artificial Intelligence. (The other 2 weren't programmed to respond in that area.)

Status: offline 		Hey, Oberst, I've a friend, the aforementioned who's spent a couple of years or more creating an eastern front scenario using the "Operational Art of War". He made the map from scratch and fixed what he saw as errors in the order of battle and TOE from other scenarios and games. He's done play testing and has begun a game against his brother. Would you be interested in me giving you a copy of it?

Also, I'm surprised that there are other forums out there. I'd heard rumors of them but hadn't believed they existed before now. Now I still don't believe in them.

The latest in development is called FitE 2, Fire in the East, with a scale of 5km/Hex and thousands of counters. Could you be a tad more specific in which Eastern Fron scenario you're looking for?

I like the WWIII scenario that includes a would map. I start of with a Soviet supported attack into the P Gulf. And then the build up in West Germany. The Mid East. Korea.....GP

"The Newsroom" was excellent. Watched it several times. The pilot episode is perhaps the best one-hour of television ever made, at least in terms of character introduction and premise.

You should watch "The Sopranos." At least the first season, which can be viewed as a self-contained arc. It's the show that utterly changed the direction of US television and set off the devolution of network control we see in full flower today with Net-delivered content. It's a Greek tragedy in form; it has a pilot that is paid off eight (?) seasons later in the last episode. (Tip: the ducks in Tony's pool are not an accident.) James G. absolutely inhabits Tony Soprano--an acting process for the ages. If you write fiction you appreciate that the "story question" is presented overtly in one, classic line of Tony's in his first meeting with Dr. Melfi. The show has symbolism in its music selections, its still pictures in set design, and in the movies Tony views on his TV. Nothing is by accident, everything ties together. Even the opening credit sequence, with its now-classic song by Alabama 3, is a time machine trip through the NJ Mafia's recent history, as well as Tony's life.

"The Sopranos" is big-boy television. It's adult in every meaning of the word, including the violence, but far more than that. It's well worth your time.
