ORIGINAL: Crimguy New release of Out of the Park Baseball, OOTP 17, is on sale at 35.99. I've been playing OOTP since 2006 or so. It is a great game that just keeps getting better. By comparison, I've felt that the other big sports management game, Football Manager (footy, or soccer, not NFL), has actually gone backwards in a couple of ways. I currently am playing OOTP 16 and it is an awesome game. My Cave Creek Chilitos are 3x playoff contenders, and lost the WS last season. This season, my veterans are starting to show their age, I'm suffering a rut of injuries, and may miss the playoffs. Currently 10 games out of first in July, but my 38 year old Iron Man starter, Jesus Ayala, is still chucking rocks to the tune of a 2.33 ERA. 10/10. New for OOTP 17 is MLB and MLBPA licenses. All major league and minor league players over the past 100+ years are represented. The majors are uncannily accurate. Can't recommend enough. Haven't bought yet because I'm still getting mileage out of OOTP 16. Out of the Park Baseball, OOTP 17 looks great! Looks like they have added some changes with "New for OOTP 17 is MLB and MLBPA licenses. All major league and minor league players over the past 100+ years are represented." Are there other significant changes?
