If anyone is interested in a new game with the latest beta patch, please send a PM with which nation you prefer. It will be a one turn per day game for my part, but maybe more in the weekends.

I am looking into the following settings, but I am open to suggestions:

FOW: On
Activation: Veteran
Delayed commitment: Medium
Traffic jam: Medium
Easy supply: No
Historical attrition
Automated replacements: No
Naval boxes: Standard
Extended pool: no
Randomized generals: Slightly

I'm in. I have been playing as a week as France and have made most of my mistakes already, but I am sure I will not fail to amuse.

The latest beta patch has no French production.

Good to hear :) We will wait till the french production bug has been fixed, but do you still want to play as France when the game starts? We are five players so far, so I hope we can find two more. But at least we have the big nations covered, so we might start with the minor nations controlled by the AI.
