Playing in a PBEM game as the soviets I just captured Bucharest and upon uploading my turn the German player was declared the winner? Since I met the Soviet Sudden Death win conditions I think there is a bug??

I logged back into the game and it now shows that the game was won by my opponent as well as showing the game still active with his next turn waiting for his play.

Hi,

First of all congratulations being one of the first Soviet players to capture the Romanian capitol. Secondly thanks for reporting the issue.
One question: What version is your game at?
One remark: Cameron is on holiday and going to be back in office around the 23rd or so and will for sure look at this glitch/bug.
Workaround: Use house rules for this in the meantime.

Sorry there. We're on it.

Best wishes,
Vic

I indicated in my first post that the game showed as being won by my opponent as well as showing the game still active with my opponent having another turn. He just completed his turn and now the game shows me as the victor. The original post showing the game as complete with the German player as the winner is now gone. That post also showed us as having both read the after game results which were never actually created. Now that the game is completed and correct we did get the final results. The completed game does does yet show up as finished in the completed game tab. We were using game version 1.03h3

@ngebhard

Thanks for the further info. Its appreciated you keep us posted here. Cameron will look into this asap after he gets his family back home.
Let us know if another upload back to the server fixes the game not being flagged as finished on the server.

best wishes,
Vic

I went back and downloaded the game for a third time and for the second time I was given final results. Once I uploaded the game again, it did finally move to the completed games tab. While I had previously downloaded and read the after action report (AAR) when I opened the current game tab (third try) it indicated that I had not read the AAR. So, there is a glitch somewhere.

Great game and I'm sure Cameron is getting a well deserved break. Hopefully your up next!

Hi ngebhard,

Had a look at this and ran a test with the Soviets taking Bucharest (good job there!).

Everything worked as intended with victory declarations and PDF's.

It might be one of those funny things that happen from time to time with PBEM or it could be a case of your opponent using a different scenario version to yourself.

I'll make a note to keep on eye out for future instances.

Cheers,
Cameron
