Since the forum doesn't allow for polls I'll ask in this thread . . . .

Which of the following kinds of Tigers on the Hunt scenarios do you prefer to play?

1. - ASL/ASLSK (or another system) to TotH conversions.
2. - New, user created scenarios of their own design.

Just curious, that's all.

Hi ,

I'll go first.

I've been playing through the old squad leader classics. Hill621 and Hedgehog of Piepsk. Really enjoyed being able to have multiple run throughs to try different setups and tactics to see what works and what doesn't.

Working on "the commissars house " at the moment from beyond valour.

would eventually like to see most of the ASL scenarios converted to ToTH ( big ask I know ).
But from the mods and scenarios I`ve seen, there are some really talented people out there.
I would also love to see the user created scenarios flourish.
So I guess in the end I`ll say both and enjoy what ever is on offer .
Either way it will be enjoyable :)

I enjoy both of them: I love playing SL/ASL conversions (it's like meeting old friends after a long time :D) as well as new creations.

I've only had to time to play of couple so far. I'd be curious to see how "the commissars house" will play without some of the ASL special rules like sewer movement.

If pushed I'd have to say Squad Leader/ASL scenarios, but I'm grateful to anyone who makes a scenario available to the community, whatever type it is.

I also enjoy them all. For myself, I have been converting the ASL modules that I liked to play. I have little to no imagination to make up my own. I just wish there were more of the special circumstances like sewers and transport to convert more scenarios.

I am wondering how Panzer Grenadier conversions would work.

I don't see why you couldn't use the scenario information to rebuild it at the lower squad scale. I'm converting some Flames of War miniature stuff although it seems their OOB's are kind of abstract.

Am taking a short break from working on the GTotH rules to convert a scenario or two. Going to pull out the ASL Journal copies I have and see what's in there.

J63 Silesian Interlude is a nice one IIRC. Not trying to put ideas in your head or anything like that. Also only has single-story buildings IIRC and no walls/fences (??) so would play true.

I think I saw that one. I'll have to go back through and see which one its in and maybe give it a shot.

Hi,

In my case I enjoy all options:

I like converting SL/ASL scenarios to TotH, and I most enjoy when I can compare my conversion with the ones that have been uploaded by somebody on the forum (my heartfelt thanks for all your efforts, they do not pass unappreciated!).

And I also like the new scenarios created by some of you (once again, thank you!). I have just played and fully enjoyed idjester's 5-pack... I loved reliving the 'save pvt Ryan' scenario!

Keep the good work!

Ángel

I prefer the converted scenarios but due to the lack of some terrain features, wall, hedges, mud, tranch and so on, and rules ,the conversion can be done only on few.
I have seen also conversion of scenarios with new nationality but i not agree with this philosophy.I prefer to wait the right condition,if they arrive in future.

Actually I like both.

Well, I've done a couple of 'conversions' now so I think its time for a new, built from the ground up scenario. Probably going to be a small one though so I can get back to working on the GTotH stuff.
