All right, we're a team and there's nothin' to worry about. We come here, and we gonna conquer, and we gonna kick some, is that understood?

At the end of the day they are the Axis so will not play by the rules anyway and are bound to cheat - unlike us glorious Allies.

Okay, I know this is an emotional moment for all of us, okay?. I know that. But let's not make snap judgments, please.

I see I have an apologist for the evil Axis on my team! Fetch me my angry panteloons - I'm madder than I've ever been

That's it, man. Game over, man. Game over! What the **** are we supposed to now, huh, what are we gonna do?

Well presumably there is little they can do in France or Poland as most units are disorganised. Maybe a naval? Will they put their convoys back in the Baltic aided by the fleet?

So that leaves the Italians and Japanese. No doubt the Japanese are going to make life incredibly difficult for the Chicomms by taking Yenan - have we had any US throws go in our favour yet?? - but where else will they seek to strike?

What will the Italians do? A land to try and cross the French border presumably?

Ok. I am done, for now, with the movie quotes. Time to get down to business.

I would like it if they did that.

I do not want them to mess up our convoy lines.

Italy can raid Eastern Med. Or send out a convoy to try and get the resource on Sardinia back to Italy.

I fear a German naval as well since they have that pesky 4 range U-boat.

I say that if Germany put their CPs back in the Baltic they will do a naval since they can not get any decent escorts out on a combined. And a naval means U-boats as well.

That was what I thought - I could not recall one. I think we need to send a special envoy to the US to start geeing up Congress.

I know just the person!

If the US don't start reacting to our plight and the outlandish and hideous actions of the Axis, then we will send this colonial over the border into the US to perform his "songs" there every night

I'm a belieber

I think you will get another roll for 'Support Attacked Minor'

I would keep discussion of the actual chit values out of even this thread though, too easy for any of us to forget which thread we are reading. Technically, only the USA player can see them (and is free to say whatever they wish about them to any other player - the hidden hand of Diplomatic language.)

I doubt that. Only minor that survives is Poland and there are no Allied units in Poland.

If we had better budget I would consider hiring Brian as a CW consultant. That way the danger that I became to passive would be reduced. And some of my stupid mistakes might be avoided.

Well I wouldn't deny the Axis rolling 1, 1 and 4 wasn't unlucky - but the Allies were hardly much better off rolling 2, 2 and 3. There was also the attack on Mao (that was successful on a 3) and the counter-attack against the Japanese AA units that failed on a 2...(I am of course conveniently forgetting that they also threw a 1 on Lodz ...but will happily point out (for purposes of feeling hard done by) that they threw a 9 on Brussels).

Naval has been pretty even I think. We seem to have been surprised quite a bit - although we did find the Baltic convoys.

Overall I don't think the dice gods have favoured the Allies so far but its not been massively one sided. With the turn length, if Lodz had fallen then Warsaw would likely have gone to - but if Brussels had been a 1 or 2 on their Offensive Chit.......

Well its a shame we lost a unit in the last attack, but I think overall its a reasonable position. As said previously there has to be a downside for a France First strategy or it would all get a little samey (and WIF isn't that).

On the negative side for the Allies, of course the Germans have enough power there already so that, with the right throws, Lodz and Warsaw are dead meat - but if we could only get some lousy stinkin' weather, then the ability of the Poles to last into 1940 becomes very real and we can maybe threaten the resources in the south.....

Wrong type of weather.

I do not want sunny weather. I want rain, storm, blizzards, and plenty of snow. Perfect weather for grumpy people. The beautiful people, however, I am sure, prefers the sun.

I would claim that holding out the Lodz factory is costing Germany. Germany, also, risk suffering more losses. The Polish units, by being there, binds German units that could be sent to the West front. So the increase in losses might not even be in Poland.

It is nice to do offensive actions in Poland but, as with everything, it comes with the downside of additional actions that CW has a hard time finding.

Yes, it will be interesting to see where he puts his reinforcements next turn (particularly the HG Panzer Division). He has no armour in Poland which is fine if Lodz and Warsaw are the only targets - but if the Poles are able to break south with a unit or two, then he may want that unit in the east. The extra HQ will be potentially be missed in the west too. Okay, he's not very powerful, but von Leeb can still usefully re-organise units. Lets hope we can get the 6-3 into play before Poland gets crushed.

That HQ might also be needed for supply during rainy impulses. Unfortunately, next turn, there will be two additional capitals that can provide supply to the German units.

Next turn,I think Germany will have enough units to get automatic attacks on any Polish units outside Lodz, or Warsaw. No need for reinforcements or armour.

And if the Polish units advance more than one hex from Warsaw, or Lodz, then they risk being out of supply.

So, assuming the French cruisers survive the (expected) German naval impulse, what happens next turn? They cannot get to the North Sea, and there is no port that they can go to (presumably the Polish ports are out of bounds because of co-operation) but can they elect to stay and move down a box? If they can, are they disorganised (I think two are already anyway)?

A) That assumes sufficient units can get to the unit (and for that purpose the Cavalry is currently doing a sterling job)

B) That assumes that Krakow cannot be taken - or does supply not take effect immediately in that scenario?

I am more worried about Northern Africa. Egypt is almost emptied of forces. The French Corps in Tunisia will be needed in France.

With The Queens in the repair yard CW will be lacking transport and will have a tough time reinforcing North Africa.

Indeed. North Africa is a concern. We will need to form a plan of action once this turn is finally over.
