I have had Barbarossa for about 2 weeks, and play it almost constantly. Great fun!

I do have a couple questions, if someone could clue me in...I'm new to the Decisive Campaigns Series.

1) Is there an "undo" button? (Oops, didn't mean to move that division there.

2) Is there a way to tell (mid turn, after moving and attacking) to see which units can still move, attack, or even how many AP's are left (other than looking at each unit individually)?

3) Can on view NATO counters with visible strengths (and maybe AP's)?

As you can see, I have been playing more like it was a first person shooter, and less like an operational strategy game. That's just because it is new and fun.

I am having a good time; Barbarossa is more fun to learn than most...the tooltips, reports, and tutorial videos really help.

Hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I do.

Hi, Prussian Tom.

Indeed, a fantastic game !

I will try to answer:

1. No Undo button. A shock to me initially, but that's the way it is. After awhile, wrong moves become rare, and when I make them, I chalk it up to wrong orders or communications issues . Granted, I only play AI and I am not a very competitive player. This may be more of an issue in a competitive PBEM setting

2. Units that can no longer move/attack, have their icons turn "dark" on map. If you select the "OOB" tab and check the various units, the ones that can no longer do anything are also slightly grayed out on the OOB tree. I know other ways to check this...

3. Not sure what you mean...Nato counters do display a number (ex: "48") that represents "hard" combat value (unmodified by readiness, morale, etc)

Regards

TY. On question 3, I was just hoping for a way not to leave out a unit when reviewing the turn. I sometimes found I forgot to squeeze every last km out of each division. This is probably why my troops run out of fuel so often! DCB make you think about issues that many games don't bother to abstract. (I'm used to the "if it is within the supply radius, the unit has all the stuff it needs"...as in board wargames).

Clearly, a case of a gamer still partly stuck in the board-wargaming days of the 60's and 70's. Or incipient senility...

Again, great game! I hope the cover other theaters (West Front, North Afrika, ect.).
