Friday is the start of the Euro 2016.

Manage private prediction games for the Euro 2016

I know that there are some keen followers of this sport. I was wondering if we should start a Kicktipp group. You can predict the score of the various matches and place your "bets". No money is involved, if would work on a point setup.

3 points for a draw your prediction 2:2 result 1:1
4 for the correct tendency 2:1 1:0
5 for the correct score 1:0 1:0

If anybody is interested I would be willing to set the game up and enter the names. I know I enjoy the matches more when I know that there is a little competition.
The only rule would be having to predict the matches 10 mins prior to kick-off.

I'm in. So do I register now or wait for you to set up the game?

Game set up.

https://www.kicktipp.com/matrix16/

It would be great if as many people can join. Please use your Matrix names, then we will know who is who.
The more the merrier.

If someone does forget to to place their predictions or can't log in. PM me and I will try to find a solution, of course you can't place predictions once a match has started.

I hope I have set everything up in the correct way.
Btw don't forget to answer the bonus questions. They might turn the tables and the end of the tournament.

Have you set up in "Toto" mode? Maybe that is why I can only input one number?

It is indeed in 'toto' mode.

1 -> Home team wins
0 -> Draw
2 -> Away team wins

Fixed.

I had set it up in Toto modus. Though I had set things up correctly.
Sorry for the mishap.

Predictions can be entered now.
Let us hope we can find some more football/soccer experts.

Mat

I kind of liked the 'toto' mode. Oh, well, I am sure I will be last in this mode as well.

Didn't "ths07" win the other time we did this, British Exile? I have seen him online this afternoon. I remember "Dixie" was also participating. Perhaps we could PM them. But "ths07" has seen the thread, that's certain.

To be honest I am not planning to see a single match

My brain is doing weird things. Only last sunday I was able to drink 3 beers (I had had the last one the 6 july 2015 I guess, before the brain stroke). I wanted to drink a beer but for some reason the brain refused, I could not swallow it (when I tried in october, november etc). And last sunday, bingo! Finally!

I think I know why: my brain has to know there is only one priority: recovering. Everything else has to be secondary.

In any case, I am pretty certain my brain does not want to watch a single match right now

I feel generous: here you are a web site which may help you to make your predictions (I'm using it):

I feel the kicktipp is not about winning, it just seems to make more fun as you are involved in a minor tournament. Hoping to score more points that your rival, sometimes knowledge helps, sometimes it is just a fluke.
Please remember to predict the bonus questions. I know I forgot to predict the bonus question for the German Bundesliga last season, cost me a few points. I was still last though.

I agree - it just adds more interest even when (if you support a team like England) your team has embarrassed itself early and exited the tournament long before we get to the sharp end.

That said, I am genuinely excited about how good this England team could be - provided we play to our strengths and not worry about the defence we haven't got.

If we can get Rose and Walker doing what they do for Spurs and creating chances from the flanks, we should have enough firepower Kane, Rooney, Alli + Cahill and Dier from set-pieces to convert those chances.

Quarter Final loss to Portugal I think.

And I was hoping the result would stay the same.

And I was sooo disappointed with the penalty. Not that the referee was wrong but it was a dumb move to do. And, even worse, it might have cost me points.
