Status: offline 		HELP! Hi, I Have detected some nasty bugs with last beta 2.2.5.0

Here the most important:

The saved games are very heavy , look at this picture.

My HDD is full an I can´t use it properly.

I will add the other bugs in other posts, thank you

Status: offline 		I use the same mods long time ago, you can see old saved games files in the picture and they are normal.

So that´s not the reason of the anomaly

I think the problem began with the last patch before the las public beta but maybe the mods have some kind of incompatibility with the last patchs, I think is not probable but I Don´t know

Status: offline 		You are the second one who reports this kind of bugs. However, I don't have it on my computer if I use this version. I don't use any mods with MWIF.

So to me, it looks like it is related to a mod. If you open an old saved game with mods in it with this version and save that one, is the next gamesave a lot larger or not?

If you open a game without mods and save it, is it than normal or not?

I'm curious what is going wrong here...

Status: offline 		If I restored old saved games or start a new game and save, seems all is ok. It is very strange.
If I discover some nevw I will tell you. Maybe the problem is in any corrupted data with my current game.

Status: offline 		I have over 3000 saved games in my current Global War saved games folder. The largest is still less than 12,000 KB.

Note that these saved games have come form over 1000 different players over a period of 10+ years.

So there is something wrong somewhere on your system. If you can reproduce the problem, then please post the required files and instructions on how to reproduce it.

I'm seeing the same thing that Victor's seeing. For some reason my saved games have balloon to over 100 MB a piece.

Status: offline 		O.K., Now this is interesting. Something from the USSR Production to the Reform Corps - Armies phase cause my game file to balloon from 10 MB to 100 MB. This happened 5-days ago and under MWiF 2.2.3. Ever since then my game has been acting squirrelly. I have no clue why that happened but you can see that there's 10 minutes between these autosaves.

I will go back and load that file and go through those phases again to see if that happens again. Of course I'll save the "Production - USSR.GAM" file.

By the way, and I'll cover this in the other thread I opened by preliminary production, if I load a preliminary production autosave from 5-days ago, which is 10-MB in size, everything seems to work well. I'll follow up in my next post on that and in the thread I started about preliminary production.

Status: offline 		OK, starting with a renamed copy of "Production - USSR.GAM" I went through the steps until scrap units for the new year (i.e.,next turn). All autosaves and my game save are 10 MB and not the ballooned 100 MB file size. This includes "Reform Corps - Armies.GAM". So I don't know what in the heck happened and what game files I should upload.

Status: offline 		Here's another way to look at it, all the autosaves after restoring using a smaller (~10MB) game file are now 10-MB. All autosaves after the file got corrupted 5-days ago are 100-MB.

By the way, I'm running with stock scenarios and data files so I didn't customize anything.

I played a week with a corrupted file, experiencing slowdowns and crashes, before I was clued into this issue. Thanks for bringing it up. Now, after every save I check my filesize to ensure that the file hasn't gotten corrupted. If it happens again I plan on catching it early so I do waste a week playing with a corrupted file that you can't through preliminary production.

Status: offline 		It happened to me again! This time I was on the lookout for it and so I've only lost 15-minutes time. This time it occurred somewhere between "Production - USSR.GAM" and "Reform Corps-Armies.GAM".
