My suggestion for the X result is put it on the damaged sub. That way, the other one only gets aborted. If not, you may end up with both a destroyed sub and a damaged one.

I would have gone for 2D, 3A.

Land moves in picture. I move 4 moving units to ports and cities so that I can start railing them.

Very good concerning Madagascar!...and destroying that TRS! Now, good luck with that interception...

Since this will essentially be a redeployment turn, I'm wondering whether it might be better to let Allies go first. I think that'll help keep the initiative track in Axis favour.

What if they bring another unit to France with Mot?

Where is their Arm HQ from Bay of Biscay? I ask them to post a picture from Europe.

Note that Bordeaux is empty but CW can send units there as they control it. I would say we must go first and Italy takes Bordeaux.

He's in Algeria! Lets hope he stays there! I would say if that TRS in Algeria remains there, that is a prime target...send a NAV there.

I believe Germany gets quite a good assault vs Mot if they use all possible land units (I tested in fine weather and it was 70:6) rain drops it by 1 but do they get 6 points of def shore bombardment? 6 points of bombardment drops it to 5:1 (-1 from rain).

The opportunity to take out the Canton MIL (a unit which the Chinese can't rebuild) was there. 4-1 with a modifier for disorganisation is pretty good (and one would even be able to get a division involved as loss taker to push the odds to 5-1).

Why did you decide not to go for this attack? I was expecting that it would be killed to give the Chinese the problems they were asking for...

Because of riverlines it was 3:1 +1. I wanted to kill it...

You are right. I stand corrected.

Riverlines within mountainregions is something which is difficult for me to see in MWIF. That's probably a color issue for me. I have to look very, very hard to see those rivers in China running through the mountains (being partially colorblind has probably something to do with it).

I wonder if it would be possible to change the color of rivers running through the mountain regions to become lighter than in other terrain...

I also missed that one river west of MIL. I was going to ask AllenK if he wants to make 4:1 attack but realized it is only 3:1

Curious that Orm would so prominently post a photo of the USSR positions near Finland. Is he trying to divert your attention?

I'm sure you have a transport plan for peacekeeping just in case.

If the Soviets want the borderlands, give it to them. I think a Finnish-USSR war is only good, if you go for a Barbarossa 1941. Since the plan is to go through Spain, don't start that war. It is going to be a nuisance for Germany, forcing them to take combines or naval actions when you don't want to do so.

I would not take a '41 Barb off the table. There is good fighting weather in Spain year-round. Concerning taking a combined here or there, there will be be opportunities to do so without hurting the campaign (Germans have generous land/air action limits).

I think taking a combined when you can here or there...which I think you will have plenty of opportunities on a long fine weather turn as J/A (Zhukov looks flipped at the moment, so no DOW this turn). Gives your AMPH and TRS something to do...send in your good white print cheap units (Berlin MIL, maybe even your 9pt INF?). More importantly is the possible US Entry hit they will take if they don't back down.

What's up with the Baltic States?...Has USSR taken those yet?

Why? If you do, Germany should go for a Barb 41 no matter what. There is no way the Finns can hold for over a year (even with German assistance) against a Soviet army which can concentrate on the Finns, because the main German army and airforce is currently in Spain...

Other than the division in Er Rif, I don't understand their set up for Spain. I would like to know their reasoning. My guess is they are defending the CW position in Bayonne?

I would have defended the center, and allowed the Allies to come in from the coasts to help out. The Pyrenees are given up, the Ebro, Saragossa...Barcelona is lightly defended. Looks good for the Axis!

Agreed. With the CW in Bayonne, they should have been able to build a defensive line in the Pyrenees.

That's to say: what has the Axis available to invade into Spain? Consider this possibility: two fast German heavy units and a division in Italian ports, sitting with the Italian TRS. They sail into the Western Med and Germany invades automatically in Spain during the surprise impulse. If that's the situation, than the Allied setup of Spain makes sense, especially if they have put the HQ in Er Rif (can't see that unit, since it isn't on top)...

Axis have only one Italian div ready to invade. But you are about to see a para drop to Madrid with ground support (40% chance to take city).

That was the reason why both declared war this impulse, range 5 was not enough.
