Assaulting units: 22nd Australian Brigade Defending units: 2nd RGC Route Brigade Amoy Special Base Force 1st JAAF AF Coy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our spearhead attacked just as a second division arrived from the east and I presume they took a large share of the casualties. Some of our armored units have disruption in the teens so all units could attack again, but they will wait. Tomorrow two more Australian divisions arrive to greatly boost an attack that will be made the following day. The high casualties among the defenders knocked out pretty near a division's worth of AV. Many of the Imperial units south of our main spearhead are making a beeline for Shanghai. After the spearhead clears the current hex, one armored unit will break off to interrupt potential strategic movement to Nanking or beyond. Fighter sweeps of Nagasaki/Sasebo tomorrow. Unless there is disaster, the next day will be night bombing (B-29-1 groups)/sweeps/day bombing (B-29-25 groups) as laid out in some previous posts. Next attack at Batangas tomorrow. The invasion fleet has been spotted! About 1/4 to 1/3 of the TFs/convoys were spotted to some degree, which of course is plenty for the Japanese to get the idea. Rain tomorrow, hopefully good for fleet defense but always a roll of the dice. In other news, Fresno has built level 9 fortifications. We're safe. China west.
