Here is the situation in China at the end of impulse 3 (only movement and debarkation)

And the situation across Germany. Rundstedt did reorganize a number of corp on the Western front in response to the extreme allied bombing.

Turn 1. Sep/Oct 1939. Allied #5. China.

In the south, Pat was threatening to outflank three or four of my Nationalist Chinese units. I decided to retreat them into to the mountains to prevent them from being flanked even though the moves disorganized them.

Also, Pat disembarked the four Japanese units at sea in the China Sea last impulse in the south (Canton and adjacent). Looks like Pat is going after the Nationalist at least early on.

Turn 1. Sep/Oct 1939. Allied #5. CW. Disembark.

I learned my lesson the hard way once, fortunately in a solo game, not to leave Bombay ungarrisoned. A partisan that pops up there takes a MAJOR campaign to dislodge. So, this impulse I disembarked an infantry division loaded on an SCS and transported from England on my first impulse.

Also, the CW adds a second corps to the defense Gibraltar.

Turn 1. Sep/Oct 1939. Allied #5. CW & France. Disembark.

I disembark's Gort into Calais and a French 3-3 corps in Marseilles.

I let the CW VII Mech and IV Mot corps remain at sea in order to keep my options open on where to disembark them. Pat looks like he's ready to roll into Belgium and/or the Netherlands and Denmark if the weather is right next impulse.

Well there is a break in the weather (rolled a 3, modified to a 5). Three DOW, Italy on France, Germany on Belgium and Denmark. The US cared about two of them.

By the way, for any land combat against the Belgiums or Poles, I choose the assault table.

Ang is the abbreviation for Angola, to which country the hex belongs.

I'm only going to commend on things which can't be changed anymore.

The two Belgian INF should have been put into the hex west of Brussels, because Brussels can't be taken by Germany in the surprise impulse if it is empty. The CAV in Liège chooses the Assault and the Axis advance stops just before the gates of the capital..

Pat needs to weigh in on this too. But my view, right now, is that comments that don't "influence" the game are fine. Also, my view is that critiques on things that can't be change (e.g., Centuur's comments above) are fine but not on things still developing. Again, this is just my view. We need to hear from Pat on his view on this.

No issue with comments per Ronnie's stated constraint. I am hoping to learn. It has been remarkable how many "small" rules I've been learning about since playing MWIF, even though I have played WIF off-and-on for nearly 20 years. I also understand where my main weaknesses are in the game (large land powers - Germany and Russia), so comments after the fact should help a lot.

Below are the other two GS.

Germany moved through all of Denmark, the CP made it to Edinburgh, but the two CAs (Peder Skram and Niels Jiel) were destroyed in port.
First attack is in China.

Well has can be seen that was the Warsaw attack. The campaign did not end has I would have liked. Rolls of 4 will do that. Note, I did decide to destroy the Poznan Corp for you - not much difference between the two.
Here is the attack in China

Well my attack rolls have certainly been underwhelming this impulse (poor in general: 12, 10, 17 (on a +17), 9, 9, 9, 4, 8).

During the air reorganization phase the FR can intercept the air transport mission. Two Me109's can intercept if you fly. Do you fly?

The Polish and S. China fronts lost a lot of steam with the poor attacks resulting in significant disorganization. I'll have to adjust and see how it goes.

Phew ... I know it was only a 1 out of 10 chance (10%) that the turn would end but I sure was sweating it. It would have been bad (for me) if this turn had ended and you got the initiate to move first on the next turn.

The turn continues much to my relief!

The USSR makes a claim to Bessarabia. Do you allow the claim?
