I saw the maps that come with Beta 11.02, they look excellent and I would like to use them. I have the 2.0.10bs steam version of Red Storm.I don't want the .02 beta - just the maps. Can I get the maps without the beta? I'd prefer to wait for the full update coming soon.

Thanks.

Tom

Tom, if you downloaded the zip file, just unzip the maps into the game's Maps folder and allow them to overwrite.

Tom, since they new map graphics are in .jpg format, you'd need to run the Steam 2.0.11 beta for the game to be able to read the map graphics - that capability is being added as part of 2.011. Alternatively, extract the map graphics from the beta .zip file and convert the .jpg to .png yourself.

William, thanks, I completely forgot about the format change. Blame the bug I have.

Tom, there ar a couple ways to do it. You can load a scenario into the editor and see what map it loads or just start a scenario, open the TOC (hit F2) and click on the Intel panel and scroll to the bottom where the map is. The name is just below it. The TOC option only applies to the 11.6 beta.

To convert the.jpg to .png I just change the file suffix?

To convert the .jpg to .png I just rename the .jpg file?

No, you have to open the jpg in a paint program that can then save it as a PNG.

JPG is also known as JPEG. Watch your P's and G's. The extensions look so similar they can mix you up at times.
