The manual says a tutorial document is installed when the game is. But I do not see anything in the docs folder or any other game folder that resembles a tutorial guide. Any idea where I can find it?

It was never produced.

There are newbie guides in the forum, as well as AARs you can read. Your best move is to read the manual, then play the Coral Sea and 1000 Mile War scenarios versus the AI. At that point you'll want to re-read the manual. Ask questions here as needed. (Main forum. Tech is for bug reports.)
