no reaction to the W. Med.

In the Italian coast, if no other units entered the zone and no fighter can intercept, them react the Nav out as far as it can go (I believe that would be the 2-box). If there are fighters available, then the NAV and fighter react to the 0-box.

Will do. By the way, the RN in the North Atlantic and Cape St. Vincent elected for no combat in both areas. Each area contained a disorganized Italian sub so the axis weren't given the opportunity to initiate.

JF40. Allied #11. RN. The Italian Coast. Round 1.

With no threat of allied fighters, the Italians fly their NAV out to the 2-box in the Italian Coast. However, it's the RN that are able to surprise the Italians, isolate box 0 and sink the lone Italian CP there.

Will let you know shortly how round 2 goes.

JF40. Allied #11. West Med.

I'm not sure it was that wise for me to try to initiate a naval combat in the West Med, but I did and it was a brutal affair for both sides.

Nothing much else really happened. I'll post some pics later, but the turn continues. Game file back to you very shortly.

Actions: Ge, Jp take lands and It takes a combined.
Italy moves a naval fleet with the CP into the Italian Coast. Do you wish to initiate combat.

No thank you. The RN politely declines. It's getting a bit hot off the Italian Coast.

There were a couple of air missions, shown below, for no effect.
The Italians occupy Djibouti (FR Somaliland) and force a FR CA to rebase (rolled a 6, so it avoided scuttling and capture). Where to?

At the moment I assumed Marseille was adequate. If not, I can change and redo up to this point. I am also making one attack this impulse, in China. Do you want it to be an assault or blitz. Normally I would have thought assault, but at this point, you may be trying to save forces and not inflict losses. I will not get back to this till about noon my time on Thursday.

Turn did end. Though the weather has not favored the Euro Axis plans, the long turns have definitely helped the Japanese in China. There was a Partisan place in Yellandu India, and the Allies get to place a Chinese partisan.

All subs will return to base as will the Italian CA's and NAV in the Italian Coast. The German battleship in the Baltic will drop a box. All CPs will remain where they are.

Should be no issue with moving through the preliminary production phase - I'll make any saved oil adjustments in the final production phase.

All Italian naval units return to base in La Spezia and all German sub units return to Kiel.

That should get us well through the initial portion of the EOT phases.

JF40. End of Turn. USA Entry Options.

The USA adds a chit to the German/Italy entry pool and choose option 15, "Resources to Western Allies." Now the USA can send its excess oil to the CW, who will certainly make good use of it.

Nazi-Soviet Pact.

Germany chooses 1 chit for the offensive and 1 chit for the defensive pool.

The Soviets choose a chit for the defensive pool.

Here is the FR scrap. The P-36A did not show up in the FR or the US scrap options (no US screen came up for me at all).
The axis did not scrap anything.
