Well I gave up on World of Warcraft (pvp), isn't fun anymore like it use to be. Even Hearts of Iron IV doesn't feel right either, need more work done on that one.

So I gave War in the Pacific: Admiral Edition another shot, been four days on the first turn. Setting up the Japanese side and writing note, does take a lot of timing and micromanagement. I do enjoying it though.

Life, not sure I'm any good at it.

No I'm not talking about an old board game.

Went back to Decisive Campaigns Case Blue for a while.

It's nice to have my air and artillery units back.

Still playing Barbarossa occasionally too - it's always fun (but admittedly not smart) to piss off the cranky Train Tsar in that game

Discovered a really cool custom scenario for ARMA 3 that I've rapidly become addicted to.

Called Antistasi Altis. It's basically a dynamically generated guerrilla campaign using one of the largest maps in the game. You start with nothing but a crate of random weapons and enough resources to recruit a handful of soldiers and a truck. You have a staff officer guy who will generate missions for you to do, or you can go do your own thing. Stealing cargo trucks, assassinating officers, sabotaging infrastructure, ambushing convoys, it's all there. There are outposts, factories, power plants, resources, bases, and airports that you can take control of from the government forces once you get stronger. You also need to win over the support of each town, as that gives you more manpower and money to work with. You can also gain support from NATO for airstrikes and such. You have to be careful not to kill civilians as that will reduce NATO support.

It's really a fantastic scenario, taking what has been done as a lengthy campaign before and turning it into one big seamless scenario. You could, for example, raid an enemy outpost which will trigger a reaction force to counter-attack from the nearby larger base. Then you could ambush that reaction force with some mines planted ahead of time, knocking out a few vehicles and fading into the forest before enemy air support shows up. All of this happening in real time.

HOI IV. But really waiting for the rough edges to be smoothed off, and for the Black Ice mod to be released and save the game.

Tigers on the Hunt, HOI IV, and yes, Conquest of Elysium 4. I like to mod other's mods. And it's half price at Gamersgate for another couple days.

Looks like getting that mod to work in steam is a real hassle.

Shame it looks good. i don't much like the vanilla Polaris.

Great game.

I'm playing now Divinity: Original Sin. Although I don't fancy the Divinity series lore, I'm quite enjoying the game. A turn-based combat system is always a plus for me.

I have the non-Steam version, which is a snap to add the mod to. I still like the original game, especially after the last patch. From the Devs comments, it looks like a lot of improvements and add-ons are in the works, but his one-man shop is pretty slow.

Cool.

It has music from the movies, and sounds great. How ever, in the original version, the music supplied audible clues when Imperial/Rebel/Other forces show up.

You could tell by what was playing what was showing up. It's a small thing that doesn't effect game play.

The original didn't have the movie music, but was good none the less.

Cranked up SC2 Assault on Democracy, but with a different angle, playing the diplomatic perspective.

As the Axis, trying to get Dutch East Indies to join at a starting point of 25%. Went in and got the Baltic states, Soviets came in early, had to hold them off as the Germans took down France.

Now trying for Spain to join and push the Russians back a little in Winter of 40-41, Barbarossa starting deployments are well east of normal and the Japs are doing USSR & China.

Course the Allies are trying to get the trump card, USA, early. This diplomacy strategy sure cuts down on the unit density.
