Problem Aircraft, with no manual speed override, doesn't fly at cruise speed when they have a plotted course. Details When you manually launch aircraft, which is not part of a mission, and then manually plot a course for them, they end up flying at a speed that is lower than cruise speed, probably loiter speed, but that needs to be verified. Also it does not happen all the time and for all aircraft types and loadouts. I have mainly seen this behavior on larger aircraft. There might also be a connection to loadout. I have never seen this behavior on fighters with AAW loadouts. Expected behavior- Aircraft should fly at cruise speed and optimal altitude when there is no manual override and they have a plotted course.
- Aircraft should fly at loiter speed and optimal altitude when they doesn't have a plotted course and there is no manual override.
- Optimal altitude should be based on current loadout, fule consumption optimal sensor and weapon performance, and in that order.
/H PS Regarding optimal altitude, if an AEW aircraft has better sensor performance at max altitude and the fule consumption doesn't increase, then it should fly at max altitude.
