As Hitman doesn't have time for a GC, we are doing the Road to L'grad scenario. Hitman is most welcome to contribute - it would be rude to trash the little reputation he has without giving him the right to attempt some sort of reply.

I know the the Germans can't throw as much against the Russians in the north as in a GC game, but this does seem to be a surprisingly weak German turn. Hitman does write intelligently on the forum about strategies etc, but he seems less impressive in practice. He clearly staked all on trying to imitate Manstein's historical advance, but he came up rather short.

I am not familiar with this scenario but I assume you won't end up with 1/2 of the Southwest front as reinforcements....

MT and timmyab, I not a elite player (or ever will be), but Sillyflower again has attempted to insult my classy redneck heritage. I can't post my first turn (I lack the time and skill presently), but only 3 units escaped a pretty fair first turn. I would give myself a B+ or A-. Riga fell and it's defender didn't rout out of the pocket, I secured hexes across the Daugava, and again only 3 (count 'em) units routed. I'm sure the lawyer will clarify what really happened. As MT. earlier shared, I'm also rusty and need to find my groove.

sigh... What will a retire British (a personal joke ..snub? .. twix silly and I) barrister do to occupy his time in his French chateau ? I'm taking a 5 day respite from my labors with my 6 children, 2 son-in-laws, and 2 grand kids, B to the third (Bentley Blair Brown) and C3 (Charles Brown III) at Greers Ferry Lake, Ark to swim, boat, and dine Labor Day weekend so I will have time to defend my tobacco chewing (and spitting) redneck honor.

I suppose it is a little unkind to tease someone who can't fight back by posting his own screenies.

His is, however, a typical doctor: missing or ignoring the evidence from my picture that would have proved the diagnosis. Multiplayer games have 'multiplayer' on the grey band at the very top of the screenshot.

In medicine, unlike legal matters, we ignore meaningless chatter, noise. Beware of inciting my Yankee spirit. If my Colonial ancestors were so enraged, they would have conquered the British Isles after Yorktown.

@Hitman, would you mind perusing my AAR and providing us with your take on the strategic situation and perhaps an insight in to the psychological factors at play behind closed doors at OKH...

Rubbish

Your ancestors were more interested in fighting against the inhabitants of other parts of Germany and the French.

If anyone has been wondering what happened to this game, we had got as far as T9 in Sept. He emailed me then to say that he would be able to do his turns more quickly when he got back from holiday, but I have not heard anything since, nor has he visited the forum. I fear that he must have more important things to deal with .
