We played till May 1942 but my opponent considered the Allied case lost and surrendered. However, Allied situation is far from critical, and I am looking for active Allied opponent (1 turn per day, hopefully more) to take the challenge.
Game: Extended map with Stacking limits; Scenario 28 C (BigBaba) with reduced ship capacity and deadly flak (well, Allied flak :-); HR in place, will send them later.
Short summary of actions so far (I am using info about sunk ships from Japs sources only, so it can differ in reality):
Opening: Attack to PH – approx. 3-4 BB sunk; Force Z – Repulse and PoW heavily damaged, both reported sunk but PoW was probably saved (not on list anymore).
China: Heavy attack towards Sian and then Chunking. Chinese army outmaneuvered and Chunking has just 2500AV – likely to be lost in 42. Changsha and all bases around still firmly in Chinese hands, but under attack. No other operations in the area.
Pacific: Japs hold Noumea, Pago Pago, PM, Lunga, Horn Isl., chain of islands north from Pago Pago up to Tarawa. Allied hold Baker and Canton. In North Pacific no operation from any side (or base building).
North OZ in Japs hands, Luzon as well, small islands still Allied, DEI fully Japs. Burma almost conquered, Ceylon was taken recently.
Ship loses:
Larger battle between IJN and RN two months ago, IJN lost BB and CA, Allied 2 BB and CV Indomitable. Rest of RN (undamaged BB, CVL Hermes plus smaller ships) run to Karachi or, more likely, there are in Diamond Harbour or Madras. CV Lexington was attacked by Betties and got 3 torps in January, but no reports about it. Heavy battle between KB and CV Hornet 3 months ago, CV likely sunk plus 3CA sunk as well. CV Saratoga very likely lost – see below. Japs loses very low except BB and CA mentioned above.
Actual operations:
India: Recently conquered Ceylon (Colombo week ago), about 5 INF plus other units, strong presence of IJA/IJN aircrafts. Force approx. 2 INF now unloading in Chitaggong.
Pacific: Raid by CV cost me few ships close to Noumea, but this time it went wrong and Betties sunk (very likely) CV Saratoga in last turn.
North OZ: Allied push north hard, but resistance of IJA is increasing. Japs stopped armoured spearhead but retreating to Daly Waters.
Position of IJN:
KB (4 CV) lost from radar 2 months ago with Kaga lightly damaged by bombs. KB 2 BBs seen in Pago Pago month ago. In Indian Ocean, CV force (Shok/Zuik plus CVLs) operates close to Calcutta, 4 BB (2 quick) and number of CA in the area.
Damaged/sunk IJN ships: BB ate 3 TT several months ago at Amboin, another BB 3 TT month ago close to Ceylon.
I can provide combat reports for last months to get better picture.
