Some of you might have noticed the great project Tracer & Harry have been working on. The soon to release H2H patch will include a really amazing package of new terrain features, giving map makers a totally new variety of styling tools.

It is still a bit time left and I would like to include some maps into the patch, that have several new features in them, to show and inspire folks to maké further use of them.

I do not necessarely need completely new maps, but taking previously made and trying to enhence them with the new terrains would be a good and easy way to discover the new lands :)

Go here and contact Tracer if you're interested:

New maps can be sent to me and will make it into the patch at:

joerg.loewenstein@gmx.de

P.S. anyone interested in the winter-camo project who wants to rework a winter scenario or build a new one can mail me...I will send you the files then and your snow-white-troops can march :)

So off to work we go... ;)

I love the new terrain and icon features....they are really helping create some new scenes to fight across! :)

Bump...

If anyone needs the files for the new icons, just PM or e-mail and I'll provide the link. No changes have been made to them for over a week, so it looks like they can be considered 'final release'.

Hi.
I'm working it two big Stalingrad maps.

One for the North (Tractor Factory, Spartakova, Red Barrikady, Red October and Lazur Chemical Plant and Mamayev Kurgan) and one for the South (Lazur Chemical Plant, Mamayev Kurgan -yes, they are on both maps-, City Center -Train Station #1, State Bank, Pavlov House, Beer Factory, Gorky Theater, Univermag, etc.) and south of the city (Train Station # 2, Grain Silos, etc.).

I could try to get Tracer & Harry files and icons, finish these maps and sent to you for the new version.

Hey Panzer Leo,

can we not incorporate these features into a regular SPWAW or can it only be in H2H.

And what happens if we do and we play someone or offer a scenario with the new features if another does not have them? Do they get those weird figures instead?

It would be nice to have a general update of these features that could be offered as an official release. It would put everyone on the same page too as far as game development goes.

I have the new SPWAW H2H terrain / building icons that I'm using on some new H2H maps. However, I don't yet have a copy of the new OoB's.

As for the new map features (which RockinHarry and Tracer put together) they give H2H mappers a bit more "tools of the trade" to use in creating battlegrounds. Unfortunately, certain icons and features will not mesh with the standard SPWAW mod.

If you would like the PDF explaining the new changes in this area of H2H let me know and I'll send them over to you. ;)

Thanks Orzel. I got the file. I'll be looking it over tonight. These could dramatically improve our maps and might be a good thing to make them an integral part of the game.

Bill: I sent you a PM with the link to the files. And the new icons were tested under H2H and v7.1 ; the problem is distributing the files to those who use v7.x . If the folks working on the v7.2 OOB's want to package the files in with their patch, they're more than welcome to them.
