So I'm on turn 52 of a plain-Jane Beta game v. AI. I keep reading about DaBabes scenarios and how everyone seems to love them. I've been playing this game for about a month and as it's still January 1942, wondering if I should switch over to DaBabes scenario and if my saved game would load in that? I'd hate to lose a month, especially as my strategy I've been trying out w/Cruisers and DDs is working well.

Any advice?

You will need to start over from the beginning. There is no ability to "switch over"

This is an ART mod. The ART is compatible with ANY mod. Each mod has its own data for the type,
however. For that matter, a modder may assign whatever type(s) he wants to the art. And perhaps
modify that art as well (changing insignia, adding or deleting a turret, whatever). Almost every
plane type is now included in RHS. A great deal of it had origins in the "standardized" set which
was developed entirely by other modders. Much of that art has now been "cleaned up" by Mifune (over
years of time) or, in the last few months, modified by me. When I could not find art online, or
have Mifune make it, or steal it from other Matrix games, I have also substituted photographs and
even line drawings for art - to get as complete a set as possible. This is an ongoing project, but
has slowed down now - only rarely do I find or make new art. But both Level I and II RHS has ALL
the art I have - which is the most complete set of sides, tops and alphas I am aware of. You may
use anything you wish, any time you wish. But NONE of RHS planes use stock data - we use data
do a formal set of standards, usually from standardized references (to make the data standards as
consistent as possible). I also used to work with aircraft and missile development at (not for)
Boeing - as a contractor (my desk was inside a USAF laboratory at the Boeing Spacefight Center).
So when data is missing, I calculate it using engineering methods. You may use my data or not,
just as you may use the art, or not, as you please. But this collection has a lot of work and it
is available to any who want to use it. Note that I am not an artist, and was only taught how
to edit art (by Mifune) late in 2015 - so anything I have done is pretty basic. But over time I am
getting able to "clean up" things with more precision (so white or blask spots disappear, and so on).
The hardest thing, IMHO, is making a "clean alpha" - many of them are 'dirty' - or imperfect. It will
take man-decades to clean them all.

Daryl, scenario 75 of the Focus Pacific series was modified by General Patton. In the future 75 will have new ships and a new map.

Added - AI Testing and Allied v Jap AI Tier 3 Ironman by Andy Mac

Scen 1,2 and 10 with beta AI script and an insane Tier 3 Ironman that is playable only by those who like to be humiliated by the AI.

I had thought I had added these when they first came out but somehow missed them.

I'm sorry to ask, but I see quite a number of mods listed on the first page (that is encouraging because it shows a lot of effort by the community).
They all have descriptions of sorts on their home pages.

I feel stupid asking this, but has anyone done a comparison or list of the differences between these, aside from what the mod home pages or authors say? Sort of a players guide to the mods?

Sorry for my ignorance but I am intrigued by the variety.

Thank you

I wanted to add, I don't mean any judgemental assessment - just sort of a list of what each mod attempts or emphases.

I have never seen a comparison list, I think your best bet is to look at each and see what is best for you.
If you are new to the game and have not yet fallen off the learning cliff, I would start with one of the small map scenarios and work up from there.

Thanks, Daryl

I'm sorry. I have spent time on the Total War (twcenter page) and noted that their list of mods usually had a brief description (some for very obvious reasons).

That's all I was wondering about.

No offense to anyone.

WMitty, I apologize if I came across earlier a little gruff, it was total unintended.
No offense was given, it is a very valid question that I don't have an answer to yet.

Communication is one of the hardest thing we do and doing it on a keyboard just makes it that much harder for some of us.

Suggestion: The various Mod creators could write a short, one paragraph description of their Mods. Going by your organization on Page One you could fill in the descriptions fairly easily. My .02.

Yes! By saying this, I would 'volunteer' to write a Paragraph Description of each of the four Mods done by my team.

Excellent idea, John!

Also a big "Thank you" to Daryl (drw61) for maintaining this thread.

Here is the overview for my “Bottlenecks in the Pacific v1.0" :

- based on "DaBigBabes Mod Scen 29C"
- for H2H and PBEM (no AI files provided)
- "historic" mod aiming to increase "realism"
- tries to address the perceived overabundance of shipping and supplies and the resulting "faster&better-than-history" operations
- applies "brakes" to supply production and distribution while creating higher supply demand and decreasing shipping availability
- also adds numerous "missing" historic ships and units, e.g. IJN auxiliaries, German raiders/blockade runners/'monsoon' submarines, guerillas and civilians.

LST: I REALLY like what you have done with your scenario premise. If it weren't for having to move about 1,000,000 items from one database to another I just might try it with one of my Mods. Could not imagine re-doing RA or BTS entirely onto a clean database. THAT would suck.

Stupid Question: Is it possible to move an entire database and import it in? Had JWE help me once there but don't know how to do it myself.

Will add my Mods descriptions when the boys are off to school this morning.
