Hey,

Game crahes 1. after selecting a szenario
2. on placing map tiles in editor
3. cant select and place allied units in editor

not sure if site version or steam so will ask,

How to get a DxDiag report file:

1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8 press �Windows key� and the �R� key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8 )
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments (zip) rather than pasted into the body of the post.

add the exe of the game to your Anti Virus and firewall program, to make sure check the logs of these to see if it was one if any of them was to blame.

That usually means a 3rd party program, like an Internet security programs, is or could be interfering with the game or update installation.

run the game from a admin account and use full admin permissions.

please make sure all game pre requisite are installed with the game, even if you think or fully know there are already installed, it will only over write, and it may be that you have a older or newer version of these where as the game in question may need a certain version.

please make sure you are running the latest game version and have up to date drivers installed on your pc,

If you have the original version. So you'll need to update it from the Internet.
Please note that you'll only need the last update, as the updates are comprehensive. (not needed with steam)

quite a few error messages in the logs, but not from this game, and from what i've read, the standard game editor isn't as good as the Storms of Steel one i think, but would need the developer to confirm, it's what i've read on the forums from some of the mod makers anyway, if it crashes on a given part, but the game itself doesn't, then there's something either missing in the editor or pc / o/s version maybe, as others as yet haven't either reported it or found it, maybe some logs will be needed for the developer, but i'm in the dark on it atm, but i'm sure he will reply once online

recently i have had site version before steam. thought i could resolve issue with steam version.
some years ago ive played game on an older pc without issue.

editor issues the same.
i could play a game on site version, but it crashes after selecting another.

what anti virus are you using? the standard windows one?

or another, best bet is to check that also to see if it's interfering with the game, as my posts above and now copied below

your error logs has some strange errors

so for me something is blocking other games from working and causing the app crashes, no idea about this game as it doesn't mention it in the logs,

so for me it's either a firewall or anti virus issue, or permissions / pre requisite not installed, if all these have been checked and it still doesn't work, then something else is a miss

Please try to disable all background programs in case these are interfering with the normal running of the game.
You can do this by running msconfig and disabling all non-windows start-up programs and services.
Then once you have disabled all non-Microsoft services, please run the game and see if the issue persists.
If it does not, please then reopen msconfig and reenable those services, one by one, until you find the program causing the problem.
