I just used my Dad's Cooey single-shot bolt action .22 -- I think the serial number was 5.

Neighborhood kids are starting to case the houses for places they plan to visit on Halloween. When I was a kid we made our own costumes.

I'm fixin' to turn seventy years old around the end of next January. Cripes - I hope that I'm not a geezer already at my young age - although I did have to tell some jerks to get their damned trailer off my front lawn - just last year that was, right before cancer surgery. Cut limbs off trees, tore up my grass and left lasting ruts in the road. I deemed it to be the Great Low Ground Road, Grass and Tree Massacre. Even took the sob's to court and won the case, but the cancer caused a slowdown in my activities and I couldn't follow up on the judge's decision to clean up the mess. So, I guess the punk's won in the end. Guess I should've just shot the little twits.

In retrospect, I reckon that qualifies me as a geezer. That, and the 40 caliber Ruger I keep beside me.
