Speaking for all the solo players, after years and years, finally an AI that can do some moves like a human player.

Here, my Italians in North Africa are flanked by the British 7 Corps and in this surprisingly good AI move, capture Tobruk.

I feel like I have entered wargaming heaven!!

Either the Italians are very bad or their commander should be replaced

Just kidding the AI looks good.

Yes, thank you for all the thought and programming effort to make a game that takes advantage of computers. Something a lot of us have been waiting for for a long time.

The AI is state of the art and as good as it gets. Hats of to Hubert for all his work.
That being said, it remains an AI.
Here's my AAR in a nutshell:
Since I 'm a veteran SC player, I decided to give myself a challenge and started my first game as the axis in 1944. I decided my only shot was to try and defeat the landing in France before it got a foothold.
The invasion was defeated by October, mainly because the AI lands HQs right in front of German units or very easy to get at. I eliminated 5 HQs during the initial turns and then it was just mopping up. In the East, I retreated roughly to the 41 border to get a shorter front line, better supply and good terrain. From there, the line can be held indefinitely without any major difficulties. In Italy, the AI is not getting anywhere.
Come October 44 and it got very predictable and not very challenging. Next I would have cleard Italy and then turned East eventually. I decided to quit.
I've also been playing around with the 39 scenario on hotseat, just getting ready for PBEM, which I hope to see very soon. Bottom line, the SC series are unrivaled, but AI remains AI.

Don't forget to swap the sides once you've come to the conclusion that the game has been won.
What follows will be a challenge, undoing your very own achievements.

Speaking from SC2 days, players should look forward to and try some PBEM. There are some stunningly good players out there.

Good suggestion, but also increasing the computer bonuses by 1 or 1/2 starting in 1942 can yield some interesting challenges.
