After you finish the turn, certain events pop up and ask you to dismiss them with a click of the mouse button. Can you have a timer on them? They don't seem to disappear for me unless I click on it.

Hi

We have had it in the past where they would disappear after a while, but sometimes people missed them (e.g. knock at the door etc) so they are set to disappear when you click on them.

And I hope it remains this way!!!
Perhaps, if you find time, build an option in to the menu.

Good idea templar. I tend to do some things while the AI is completing the turn.

Would strongly like an option for this to disappear. Its a pain to have to click on them to get rid of them. Sometimes I would just like to walk away and let the computer do its thing as time for me to play is limited and this means I have to sit at the screen. I fully understand how some like it, the first time its great. But then again and again and again. I just like the recap at the end.

Thanks for responding, I do the same thing curry. Recap is good. The game does play like some of the mods from global conflict. The one good thing is all the custom scenarios that will come out. Now, I have to find time for all of this

It is possible to turn off the messages during the AI's turn via the Options screen, it's the third one down on the right, so that you will only see those relevant to your turn.

Hopefully that will help so you can leave the game running during the AI's turn as desired, once you've finished reviewing any that pop up at the end of your turn.

I hate nothing more than popup windows that just disappear by themselves, so whatever will be changed eventually, I hope we'll at least keep an option of having to click them for them to close.

Me too, bummer to miss stuff along the way.

Yup.
The windows and their messages, of course, are a part of the game, and add immersion and often are useful or important. e. g. Intelligence reports a carrier close to your fleet.
Reports could save lives!

I am planning to buy the game today. I am happy that you have to click on the popups to dismiss them. There are few things I hate more in a game than a pop up that disappears by itself.
