Not a real important thread, but was just wondering what the community is buying for this sale. I bought GG WITW and the accompanying dlc. Was honestly shocked at the prices, they're the best I've ever seen so thats good.

Good prices this year, but I will take time to make my final decision, for now this is what I am thinking to get:
GG WitW
CS:ME
Tigers on the Hunt
DC: From Warsaw to Paris
Close Combat: Panther in the Fog

DC: Barbarossa

I will say that the download speed is massively improved over the past.

One note: The patch in members area did not work for me. I had to use the link in the forum.

There are several titles I plan to pick up from the holiday catalog including Command Modern Air (CMANO) and Scourge of War Waterloo. several others, but those are two that I know of right off.

Thanks
Rick

For some mystirious reason, it seems we don't get a steam key for that game.

If I am not mistaken, the key you got from Matrix can directly be used to redeem within Steam...have you tried that?

The serial number of Polaris Sector can also activate the game on your Steam account.

Just bought Campaign Series: Middle East.... Just the first of at least a few for this sale. Not sure what will be next but I have some time to think of it.

Campaign Series: Middle East looks like an interesting topic for a war game. I'm not well versed on the conflicts presented in the game, but it looks fun nonetheless!

Great part is how long the sale lasts. The board gamer side of me still needs to wait for GMT games sale to see what they have going on.(after they get their computer conversion figured out that is)

Still amazed at a few of the old game prices that are still around the $20 range here.

Campaign Middle East is a great game and some good mods. Jason, Berto and others always answer questions. Plus, it has short scenarios that can be played in under 45 minutes. The graphics are fine as well

I hate sales when I can't use them :)

But this year sure has a nice crop of choices. Alas, my holiday is already a done deal.

Some major events happening in my 2017 so I'm already fairly spoken for in several ways. Short of a gift out of nowhere I will be shocked to see a war game purchase till NEXT holiday sale. Oh well, 2017 is going to be a great year regardless.

Was tempted by War in the East (cheaper on Steam than on Matrix site), but given a WitE 2 is coming then I won't bother. Shame my anniversary coupon isn't valid this time of year though.

Just bought:
Panzer Corps Gold
Crown of Glory: Emperor's Edition
Wars of Napoleon

I am reading a book on the art of war of Napoleon and would like to play a little in this period.
Since I can't decide between COGEE and WON, I take both.

I recommend Hannibal. I think you'll like the game play better.

unless you like "reading" the outcomes of your combat then you'll like Ageod games better.

Hannibal has a "hands on" tactical play of the battle? That would be better.
