Hello, after a long stint fixated on medieval and pike&shot oriented games, I have felt the tug of Napoleon once again. JT titles beckon for the tactical fix but I am intrigued by this game but am reading all the threads and trying to determine what is what.
So what I can determine is: New work is being done by volunteers( with no guarntees of course) to improve the game and weed out bugs. That being said, is it accurate to say that: one can play a game vs the AI to conclusion but once you become profiecint it isn't much of a challenge(which is likely th ecase of most comlex strategy games anyways!) How about hot seat? Does it work? I f I chose hotseat with ALL major powers chosen, I would assume NO ai is involved at all ( I think from what I gather is minors are major player controlled?)
Anyways, With the nice sale It would nice addon, I'm just a cheap bastard and I theoretically havnt even "played out" half the games I already own!
Cheers!

I have played dozens of games against the AI, including games where most of the powers were hot-seated.

Welcome, yes, for the $19.99 sale price this is a great time to jump in or jump back in as the case may be.

FWIW, I can guarantee v1.21 will see the light of day sooner or later and I fully intend to continue with bug fixes and game improvements with v1.22 next year. Matrix has had the files for v1.21 since early October but last word from Erik Rutins was that they are short of production staff and busy with new releases. So, I don't know when we'll see a public beta but we will, sooner or later. And then if there are no showstoppers, it will become an official release. Players really should enjoy the new wide-screen display, numerous bug fixes and improvements, and the new files for playing either classic EiA or alternate EiH campaigns. There is still work to be done, for sure, but v1.21 should go a long way towards re-energizing the community.

Pzgndr, thanks for your love for this title; have had my eye on it for years but the negative reports have truned me offf. Your support and the holiday sale might be enough to get me to oull the trigger.
