Is there a way to review the event messages displayed at turn start while in the middle of your turn?

I can't seem to find a way to do so. It would be nice if they could be recalled as needed to review what occurred.

Thanks.

Yes, the 'L' key. Note that it currently does not work if you close out and restart.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, the L key works, but only so far because it does not provide all info. If you restart, some reports are lost. I would also like the ability to review all events going back to the start of game at any time to see which ones I choose or how others fired. This includes all computer events shown to the player, all diplomacy movements and lost units. It is impossible to recall the how/whys of decisions made days or weeks after a save or series of saves over the course of a game.

I recently remember choosing the option to invade Narvik. I sent my naval units north to assist. Five turns later and the Special Forces unit is still sitting at Inverness having never moved to attack. I would like to confirm I selected the proper response before thinking it is a bug. Unfortunately, I do not have a save to go back that far to check since I did not expect that to be an issue since it worked the previous game I played.

A combat replay of the prior AI turns would be a huge improvement. Stuff goes by so far it is easy to miss. I have been following Warspites AAR and everything he says about keeping up with the AI action and decision events is true. Sometimes, I think the game is playing me instead of the game, which knocks down the enjoyment factor.

I look forward to improvements in future patches. The game has me hooked so far so anything that makes it better would be terrific.

Thanks
Malor

Hi Malor,

For now you could try using the F2 key at the start of the campaign or for everytime you stop and then restart by loading a saved game. This creates a DEBUGLOGS folder in your User Documents folder area for the game and it keeps track of all events that happen in game under the summaries.log file.

Right now it also keeps track of AI DECISIONS, RESEARCH and DIPLOMACY and a few other areas, but I could consider expanding this to include human actions as well during an AI game.

We use this to help debug and develop the campaigns and it has been left in the official release as well for modders for the same reasons.

Hubert
