This happened in separate games - the first one I didn't realize what happened, I just thought Italy was taking its sweet time to join Germans. Then at the end of 1941 I decided to check the forums, and it looks like this is the disappearing capital issue.
In the case of Italy I went back to old saves and the one I took just after the fall of Poland exhibits this issue. For Germany I didn't save at Poland's fall but the one I have from December 30 39 has the problem too. I remember that my prior turn's MPP production was suspiciously low so this also happened right after or soon after the fall of Poland (I usually need 3 player turns for that).

I have the mentioned saves and happy to send them over if that helps. It definitely seems like (at least in my case) this happens in the early game and Poland's defeat events seem suspiciously related. I always played it nice with the soviets and honored the pact, then offered Lithuania - maybe it's those events...

Please let me know if I can assist in diagnosing... right now unfortunately it's not a rare occurence (2 for 2) and it's not really possible to play the game once this happens.

Thank you for this report lukaszg

We are looking at this as a matter of priority and hope to have a fix soon

I am sorry that this is frustrating your attempts to play the game. Its odd, in 6 months of testing I don't recall ever
seeing this

Apologies
Ben Wilkins

Thanks for the response. I assume you are able to reproduce the problem but if not I'm happy to turn on debug saves and try to get it to happen again - with my luck it should be pretty easy :)

Please do lukaszg as I'm having a hard time repeating it, I have a suspicion on what it might be, but if you ever have a reproducible case then it will be so much easier to track down.

Thanks,
Hubert

Of course, now that I'm trying to get this to happen, it stopped happening. I will keep trying though and will send in a save if I get it. I guess it's a win either way, I get to enjoy the game or I manage to reproduce the issue.
