Question for anyone that's played (or is playing) a PBEM...

Has anyone dropped a nuke on Japan, or been the recipient of a nuke?

IF so, do you have before/after damage results of the attack.

I've got this thing that if I am playing a game that has a "nuke bomb" option, it's also been my "goal" to do what I had to do to use a nuke. Ergo, in Fallout 3, I lit that nuke off as soon as I could! I will do it if/when I get to the right time in my current PBEM.

Why do I do it? Because I can!

I've done it a bunch of times in AI games. Same mechanism. The results were good, but not spectacular. The game engine can't really model nukes' thermal pulse and radiation.

Do it for history, but you won't end Japan with them.

Yeah, the Victory Conditions section says three or more. I like to re-word things.

Tocaff and I just finished a pbem that ended in August '45. He nuked Tokyo once and achieved only modest results. Here are the highpoints of the results:

Manpower: 98 (24)
Resources: 181 (49)
Heavy industry: 2631 (49)
Refinery: 101 (49)
Light Industry: 2141 (49)

No damage done to any shipyards or any of the multiple AC factories located there. In earlier AI games, I had better results with nighttime low level manpower attacks. And it's odd that all damage levels except manpower are 49.

Edited to add that Tokyo had not been attacked prior to the nuke attack.

Yeah, it's hell when you hit 50. Everything starts falling apart.

Because a certain politician suggested Japan should get nukes?
