Capital Ships
Constitution-Class

The Treaties cut both ways. If Japan get ONE then the Allies EACH get 1.6.

In this case the Japanese get to build the LOVELY Ishitaka but in return the American build TWO Constitution-Class BC. May I present the Ranger and Constellation:

These fast battlecruisers make for magnificent CV escorts OR may be used for far more dangerous purposes. LOTS of room from AA Guns. They form the core of the pre-war Scouting Force.

Allied Cruisers

The Allies gain a great amount with the Treaty changes. In the case of cruisers the Americans gain two more CAs (Rome and Burlington) as well as a pair of modern CLs. These are added to the Dec 7th OOB. The Asiatic Fleet is reinforced with an additional CA, CL, and 4 more modern DDs. The Reinforcement TFs that start the war at sea are also reinforced. The Allies will find quite a few more ships to rely upon as the Japanese open the war. The Aussies and NZ fleets gain a few DDs to help provide escort to their CAVs. Aussieland even gains a pair of old Brit SS (Didgereedoo and Boomerang).

Bases are have begun to be strengthened at Pago Pago, Wake, and Reinforcement TFs have been formed to help Port Moresby as well as the DEI.

While not being a HUGE addition to the Allied OOB these ships CAN be used to form much stronger TFs to fight the opening months of the Japanese offensive.

Carriers
CVEs and Experimentals

As mentioned earlier, the Japanese gain the ability to convert up to about 8 APs to CVEs if so desired.

The Allies also gain the opportunity to immediately convert any Tangier-Class AV, the Kittyhawk-Class, and some of the oilers. These allowances bring about 12 more CVEs into the fight in 1942. It is the Allied players choice.

The FIRST Carriers are also expanded from one to two. The Langely is joined by the Ely. These two ships start in the Philippines and are quite helpful in their Seaplane Tender configuration. The Japanese build Hosho and Ibuki for their first CVs.

There are simply LOTS of old and new toys for the two sides to enjoy and play with...

This pretty much ends the Added Ships section of the Mods.

Next up shall be LCU additions for the Japanese.

I believe--could be wrong--that that art came from my Mods...

No pics of the ships?

Have LOTS of art. Have liberally stolen it from many places: Big B, YOU, and Juan. several others as well with many thanks!

Red Lancer did nearly all of the air art.

Cool. You should include pics of the ship art with the pics of the editor stats. Just a thought to whet our appetites more.

OK. Got back to work on this today.

After the discussion with El Cid and a few others, I have decided to add the Recon variant of the Nell then Betty. Japan will gain a total of five of these Chutai. Max is 12 planes in the unit. I've placed the initial ones where El Cid has them and added two Chutai training with the 9th Air Fleet in Kyushu. To allow plane construction a line of production is added building 2 planes. If the Japanese player wants these aircraft he will have to expand the line, build them, and pay for that. The Nell stays until superseded by the Betty variant in mid-43.

I went thoroughly thru the CD units added to the Japanese OOB and drew them back some. My numbers of guns taken off warships to those deployed in the new combined Naval Guard/CD Atoll Defense Regiment/Battalion was off so this is now corrected.

Pulled back the CV Air Groups for KB. The four big CVs all start with three more planes then their capacity. Fixed that.

Continuing to examine George and Jack as well as Sam for possibilities.

This is what I got and will work on. Did you refer to this?

Hi John,

Brian here, AKA GP,
Michael and I are playing your BTSLite and I have a suggestion and a needed fix.

1. NZ had a 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force(2NZEF). This force operated in the Pacific and was made up of the 3rd NZ Div. All but 2 NZ units are in the game, unrestricted. They are; 14th Inf Brigade and 17th art reg. If you with to add them let me know and I'll locate the OOB's

2. The art for the G5N2 Liz, top and alpha are missing.

Anyways, Great scenario. I like the west coast buildup industry wise. I feel DEI's and OZ are restricted a little much, but I'm dealing with it.

Have a great Sunday.

Best Regards,
Brian

John, The NZ 3rd div gets its commanding general in Aug 42, so duplicate the NZ 8th inf brigade and name it 14th inf brigade and arrival in Aug 42. Then either add some organic Art to the 14th and 8th or duplicate a NZ art reg and call it 17th art reg. The 17th art was part of the 14th brigade. So you could just add art to the Battalions of the 8th so when combined back into the 8th, it will mirror the 14th. This is what my notes said....GP

BTS scenario. 9th Australian inf division has toe #2706 which is a CMF Inf Bn TOE. Makes this unit very fragile, loses will not be made up. Should probably be a TOE # 2693 or 2694.

You may want to list the scenarios your talking about. Numbers are good, but 2 or more modders may use the same number....GP
