Hi.

I do not understand the exchange rates used by Matrix store.

For sure, the dollar is rising, but the current (as today) official conversion rate for euro is 1$ = 0,957€

Why have suddenly the prices of games become more expensive in euros ?

For example in the current sale , WipT:AE is sold at 39,99$, but now costs 40,99€ to european customers.

That is an exchange rate of 1,025 instead of the official 0,957 rate. In other words, a 7% margin, hard to explain...

Regards

I was wondering about the same thing.

Could someone really explain what's going on? I know this seems to be he case all over the place (euro is usd or more even..), but a bit of an explanation would ease the minds of the peeps.

This has been discussed many times but this is the rate we're charged. The headline rates you see are not actual rates you get. Go to a money exchange and see what rate you get - this is where the margin lies, with the money changer not us.

If you prefer just change the currency to $ in the shopping cart and you can see what exchange rate your credit card gives you but its usually worse. These prices are automated.

Ok
Luckily I always use Paypal

Yesterday I bought DC Warsaw to Paris. Got charged 19,95€ instead of 20,99€.

I sugest european buyers to use Paypal, it seems to use a fair rate

Regards

Oh, thanks! That's the kind of answer I appreciate. So the money exchange is an independent company, who converts the prices. Now I see.

Wouldn't expect any other answer from you guys! :)

Yeah. I think my WitP:AE was 38,XX EUR when using Paypal as exchanger. That's a couple of euros lower than the "official" rate (40,99 eur). If I buy multiple units of anything, it's worth it, at least for now, on Paypal.
