Hi all hope you can assist a newbie here. I’ve been playing Meteors over Korea 1952 scenario with little success. The main problem is that my planes especially the escorts fail to attack enemy planes, they seem to allow them to fly alongside and shoot them down at their leisure. I’ve tried setting to weapons free / automatic evasion (mission and escorts) set to yes and then replayed trying no with similar results.
Second is there a way to set up height / speed when planning an operation. At the moment I have to wait till they take off.
Thanks for any help
Nat

Not sure what's happening in your first question, but for the second, take a good look at the bottom right of the Mission Editor box when setting up a mission. There are a good number of options there for setting speed and altitude profile for missions as you set them up. This may be what you are looking for.

For your first situation - depends on what the AC are doing - if they are transiting to a patrol area and the engagement is either happening outside the Prosecution zone or you have the 'Don't engage targets outside the Patrol zone checked' they might wave but not shoot.

Thanks for the prompt replies. Ive seen the options in the bottom right of the mission screen but they only appear for me when setting up Patrol / Ferry / Support missions. When setting up say a land strike mission those options are missing from the screen? Its in these attack type missions I want my aircraft to hedge hop to their targets and at present I can only set them up after the plane has taken off via the F2 key.

What version of the game are you using?

You usually add all aircraft to the mission and then mark the escorts by checking them off in the list and hitting the mark selected as escorts button below the list in the mission editor.

If you're still not able to please do post a screenshot or .save file and we'll take a look. If just helps if we see what you're seeing.

Thanks!

Mike
