-allsnip- Edit: I swear I'm still planning to do this thing ha. I took a long break because I decided to play the game with a different set up that I'd have to do quite a bit of work in the race files to do. Was too lazy and unmotivated until now.

Basically all races except for one will start out on either a MS or a Continental planet. It's a bit more immersive for me that way. Each race will have their construction speeds set to the minimum at 0.3, and their ships resized to 0.25. Most characters will spawn at the maximum rate of 3.0, all with the exception of the leader. Army names have all been replaced with generic names: Infantry, Armor, Defense Battery and SpecOps for simplification. A few of the races will have different names, and different portraits from what is the default in RetreatUE. Some native systems will have different names. I found the old ones to be too generic, who would name their start after their own race? It would be too confusing.

The game will be set up as a tech 1 start, no ROTS events. Probably maximum number of pirate factions, all probably set to weak. There will be 25 races, that I handpicked based on them having unique techs tied to them, or for novelty reasons. Once the game is created, I'm going to open the editor and delete all independent colonies and their ships. There is no reason for them to be there, as I am playing as though the Shaktur never existed. Instead the ancient history of the galaxy, the ruins and such are all tied to the Keskudon, Enton, Tarapid, and Napoar. I'll probably explain that last bit at some point later on whenever I get to playing. It's not an in-depth story, just a backround for the game.

Soo..here's a little teaser on what I'm thinking as far as the backround for some of the races in the game.

Humans: Depleted the resources of Earth and through global warming caused it to become a water world. Surviving Humans we're able to leave the planet in search of their eventual new home world "New Earth". This exodus occurs AFTER the fall of the major races that are mentioned next.

Keskudon, Tarapid, Enton, Napoar: These four races were at one point the only space faring races in the galaxy. The Keskudon owned the Tarapids as slaves of course and were the strongest and largest of the empires. Eventually war breaks out between the Keskudon and the Enton and Napoar (the Napoar were still organic at this point). Through some means most of all four races populations were wiped out, I haven't established what that cause was..probably going to be related to the Kaltors. If that's the case it was done as a means intended to destroy the Keskudon, but backfired unexpectedly. The Napoar transition to their non-organic form would occur sometimes AFTER their fall as an empire.

Thoughts? Does this sound interesting?

glad you are interested! Well it depends on how long it takes me to get done editing RetreatUE's races. I've most of the work done already, but I recently ran into a snag and have to reassess some of the races that are going into the game (and add the changes to those races being reintroduced). Maybe a week tops, but I'd like to start sooner.

All I've got left to do before I start playing is change each race's shipset, and run that script in ResearchUE to see what my options are. I'm also going to remove the race restrictions for planetary destruction. But in the mean time, here is another teaser..

Securans are no longer considered a "humanoid" race as far as the game is concerned. They are reptilian. The backstory I'm shooting at here is that during the war against the Keskudon, the Enton were experimenting with all sorts of biological weapons and genetic alterations trying to find a way to end the war, one that they were losing. I already mentioned that they eventually succeeded with the Kaltors, which ultimately backfired and wiped out their own civilization. But before that they had another noteworthy creation; The Securans. The Securans are a hybrid Reptile/Primate created through splicing Keskudon Genes with...Human Genes! Whatever their intent, the project clearly was unsuccessful as the Enton continued onto other experiments.

Most of this information comes from ancient Enton historical archives left over from before the fall of their civilization. I'll probably write out some of these things I've come up with so ya'll can read it later on. I have quite a bit in mind. Including reasoning behind the non-existence of other colonies of the involved races in the game. Some of them actually do exist...they just aren't the same race anymore!

Edit: K. I'm tired of arguing with myself about which shipsets to use for which races. I'm just going to use the default 27 instead of adding any. Although I'm going to trade up with someone cuz I don't like the Human set.
Edit2: Realized I have to manually add image scaling .25 to every single ship/station design for all 25 races. -_-
