For the first bit, I need something more 'marshall'.

Oh, you mean something like this?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8v1Ikh6-9zA

But if you want some nice military music, the search word is "martial" (not to be confused with "marital")

No for the music. But yes you're correct martial is what I meant.

Stop reading what I wrote and start reading what I meant. Oh, and get off my lawn.

I know there's a lot of train set freaks here. Enjoy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HR5dEc5VeNw

My father was into trains. He has a bunch of steam locomotive builder's plates in his garage. Some of them are worth some cash now.

The Big Boy was sort of the extreme evolution of the type and diesels were on the horizon at the end. There is something about steam locomotives that diesels lack. I realized that when I went to the Tehachapi Loop with my father to get pictures of the SP 4449 as it went though. There is something very primal about a steam locomotive pulling a grade that is ho hum with a diesel.

Let me put in a plug for the Museum of Transportation here. See it. Nearby is Laumeier Sculpture Park which is worth a walk for the exercise.

I would like to put in a plug for outlets. Without them, plugs would have no purpose.

Hmm, the theme from "F Troop" plays when I start ordering units around in game.

Reminds me of a story of my maternal grandmother. When I was a toddler my sister told me a story of when we went on a winery tour on vacation with my maternal grandmother. My father liked good wines (he infected me with a fondness for first growth French wines, but alas I don't have the budget for them) and was talking wine with the tour guide. My grandmother, not quite following the conversation and wanting to bring it back to familiar territory, chipped in with "my favorite wine is Thunderbird!" My sister said both the winery tour guide and my father visibly winced.

My grandmother kind of fit the Irish stereotype. She liked her drink a bit too much and her tastes were not exactly high brow.

My dad and mom went on a tour of one of the Napa Valley wineries. They were taught the proper etiquette in wine tasting. Apparently it does not involve announcing "The only way to tell a good wine from a bad one is how well it mixes with pepsi".

If it's an outlet mall - quite a few!

Takes me back to a saying of my youth.

"What's the word? Thunderbird! What's the price? Thirty thrice.

Drank some in my early days but the adult beverage of choice (albeit was my teenage choice also) was the old Oly (Olympia). With my $2/week high school allowance I could buy a 16oz "sixer" and still have 50 cents left to buy 2 plus gallons of gas.

No wonder I'm not worth a $hit now at 74.
