I tried a stealthy approach through the woods, but as soon as my squads became exposed to the MGs the southern attack turned in a bloodbath. The [Censored] B** leader and his [Censored] HMG killed (not CR'ed, not broke) four squads and a B* leader in the German fire segment of the second turn. The other [Censored] leader and his [Censored] MMG only managed to break two other squads and a B* leader. In the first two turns, I carefully manouvered through the woods, remaining out of LOS. Then I advanced at the end of the second turn, taking care to keep the leaders, MMG and Bazookas in woods hexes. I thought I would have to endure some losses in the German Fire Segment, but I never expected 75% losses. My return fire, of course, had no effect at all . I think next time I will try an all-northern attack. P.S. Rico, there is a "U.S. setup zone 2" hex in 9,25, no US units are allowed to set up in Zone 2.
