ORIGINAL: Slick Wilhelm I'm on my second game playing the Barbarossa campaign, and unfortunately the Axis has destroyed the 1st Australian Corps at Tobruk. What's the best way to reinforce this theater of war? In my last game, I tried to send an American amphibious transport convoy all the way to Alexandria, but the Italian Navy sank just about every ship...even though I had escorts. Do I need to engage more surface units from England to assist? And while I'm at it, why doesn't the Axis AI attempt to capture Malta in this campaign? Hi slick hope you are enjoying the game, now if I understand your question correctly which is rare for me, I am assuming you are moving your transports or other naval units through the Straits of Gibraltar, that slick Willy is a nono. If you look down the coast of the US mainland to Wilmington NC, you will see two hexes in the ocean, one says to the Red sea allied only, the other to the Persian gulf allied only, four turns each to get there and if allied troops are in control of Port Said and Suez then your troops can land without any interference by the Mighty Italian Navy Now if you are coming from England I know it is a long trip to the American coast and to those two hexes but the old saying better alive and take your time then to hurry and be dead [I made that one up.] As for Malta ask Hubert Bo lol, bless you bo for being old enough to get the joke of my callsign. And thank you so much for that tip! I didn't read those hexes carefully enough to know to send them through there. I was indeed sending them through Gibralter to to their doom.
