Hi, When I transport freight by air, is it helpful if I pick a staging base with a supplied depot?

I found the answer in a tutorial. Yes you should.

I usually build up a bunch of airfields around/in London and base my Air Transport fleet there. I also build a depot in each of the other hexes around the national source. If the airfield contains transports...it gets a depot.

Then I can fly freight straight from the 'tap'
