They are still working hard on it. It's not yet available to us testers either.

Yep. That is the one thing which is certain. They are working hard on it.
When it will come, it will blast us aways. That is what my gut and my experience is telling me.

Feb 1st, and it isn't even available to testers yet.

The people who bought this game are being treated like crap.

The game is very playable as is so kudos to the developers for this.

A patch which can only make an already awesome game more awesome will not be a trivial matter if some sort of play balancing is on the table. Aside from some benign fixes like the resolution issue and displaying weather information, there is also multiplayer that will be coming out. So yes, patience is in order.

The game's been out what, going on three months now? I'd submit we've been very patient already.

I'd submit that patience is a virtue, so just keep being virtuous and enjoy a game that has atmospheric replay value without a patch.

So ... what is your EXACT beef with the game in it's current state? Or are you just a patch counter?

The frequent CTD is quite annoying, see: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4205724 and http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4226388

There are also a number of little bugs, like when my U-boat got moved to a hex north of Reykjavik and then couldn't move (but could be attacked) and some other oddities about the handling of Iceland: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4212189

They're not game-breaking, and for a first release the game is in pretty could shape, but a patch to fix these and some balance issues (e.g. reducing survivability of pocketed troops) would be nice

Patience is a virtue.....Im still waiting for world in flammes to be a playable multiplayer, i think that was about 2-3 years ago, so three months as in this case is nothing.

I agree. The very common CTD's should be the main priority.

I would also appreciate an extra level of zoom. Visibility of unit numbers and some terrain is bad.

Yes, I agree that the CTD's should be addressed (there is also http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4228365&mpage=1&key= and http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4189078 ) and there is also the issue of not being able to read the weather report in the lower bottom left if below a certain screen resolution setting as discussed here: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4203344

It would also be nice if survivability of pockets (especially those with supply level 0) would be addressed in some way as well.

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of information about the coming patch. Hubert is working hard on it and we are hoping to deliver it very soon. Again, I apologize but I can assure you that the waiting will pay off.

Daniel

I'm really looking forward to having a few MP games. I'm not that great of a player but I'm getting a little tired of beating up on the AI.

When playing SP I've been trying to play it like I would vs a human opponent, which means taking less risks and not doing things that you know the AI won't be able to react to, to try to not get into bad habits which could lead to too many unpleasant surprises when I play a human

Wow, Great Minds must think alike Oxford_guy. I do the exact same thing for the same reasons.

The only bad habit I'm probably going to pick up is being to cautious, because I'm so used to playing against AI with +2 experience and +2 spotting.

Do you give the AI more MPPs too, or just the experience and spotting bonuses? Is this when you play the Axis or Allies, or both? I've only played the Axis, as prefer playing the underdogs!

I give the AI everything, no matter which side I play. The +2 experience, +2 spotting and the 20% more MPPs. It really needs the MPPs IMO, because it tends to waste a lot of them, especially on operational movement.

Hubert got pneumonia. You can be sure he didn't want to get sick. Stuff happens.

I want a patch very badly myself but some patience here is appropriate.

The more I play this game, the more I enjoy it.

No hurry, this is just the beginning, there's a long road ahead of us of improvements and a plethora of new campaigns await.

New campaigns would be nice!

I didn't play much SC2 but I did enjoy playing the North Africa and Market Garden campaigns which were at the division/regimental scale.

Will these be added?
