I love this game. It brings back memories of playing Squad Leader in the early 80s.

Two questions:

1. What do the different colored dots represent when Covered Arc is activated, i.e. red, yellow, red over yellow?

2. Can a unit pick up an abandoned bazooka or demo charge (same side ordnance)?

Thanks.

Larry

We are glad you like it.

I'll answer your questions.

1. Green are used for the Covered Arc for Guns, Red over Yellow for Tanks and Yellow for other vehicles like TDs, Half Trucks

2. Yes you can pick up friendly abandoned bazookas and Demo Charges and use them. Only Crew can "Pick up" any Friendly Ordnance and use it. You can say that if you can use it according to Appendices 8.2.2 you can also pic it up.

1. please look at the manual, for personnel units page 22 and 23. For ordnance and vehicles page 23.
2. Picking up abandoned friendly side weapons is done automatically in the Administrative Segment, make sure that a valid personnel unit is in the same hex as the abandoned friendly weapon.

Thank you for the responses. Keep up the great work Peter. You have yourself a gem here.

I moved a squad into a hex with an abandoned demo charge. It looks like I was not able to pick it up because I did not wait for the next Administrative Segment to pass before I moved out of the hex. Grrrr......my lack of patience is disturbing.

You can also pick up a SW during the Movement Segment, but you must have 1 MP to expend to perform this action. Select the picking unit and the abandoned SW, then click on the "Recover SW" (or something similar) button located below the "Move/Assault/Double Time" buttons. The pick-up action is NOT automatically successful. If you still have remaining MP, you may attempt to pick up the SW again.

How can I drop one support weapon and pick up another one instead?

That's not doable at the moment but I know Peter has it on his possible list.

Shouldn't the "w" key allow exchanging SW? (I admit I have never tried this command).

Yes you are correct. I've never tried it either. I will have to check that
