I was just wondering how easy it is to see the counters and to be able to tell the map features. I play a lot of ASL the board game with my son and was looking at this game to replace the board game. My son was born blind and with multiple surgeries he sees better but the cardboard chits are just to hard for him to see. Is ToTH easy to read?

I believe there are third party programs that may be compatible. Try googling it....GP

Hi,

I am legally blind. The print on the ASL mod counters is small. As LSO the interface is small. So I sometimes use the built in Windows Magnifier. It works great. You can set it to a window which manifies an area around your mouse pointer...

Or set it to have a magnified window at the top of your screen. I it also does Fullscreen magnification.

Hope this helps.

Michael

Sir, if I may also suggest Virtual Magnifying Glass. It's a free download and you can just do a simple search to find it in the internet but I included one of the links if you are interested. Yeah, the print is small on the counters but on a good quality monitor about 24" or so will be a major improvement over the cardboard counters. Plus, everything will be well lit with no shadows. As an SL enthusiast, I highly recommend TotH but it is not ASL but more like ASL-Lite or SL++. But, seriously, your son will enjoy it better on the screen.

I would love an update with a closer view or a zoom level option. I have a 32" monitor and I have a rough time with the chits.

if you use any of the disabled device settings in any version of windows, you can still use the free upgrade to windows 10 version, all you need to have is a version of win 7 / 8 or 8.1 and use the assistive technologies tools.

quote:

People who assistive technologies still quality for the free upgrade, though Microsoft doesn't ask for any evidence that you actually use such tools.
