Status: offline 		At 25 morale and experience the RTA troops aren't good for much right off the bat, but here the 6th takes a base. Their success doesn't increase their morale or experience at all. Sad, but true.

Status: offline 		The fast transport into Kavieng should have had plenty of points to unload and move north west under some Oscar LRCAP, but they don't. Nothing damaged to seriously, and the troops are safely ashore.

Balikpapen invasion forces are underway.

Jolo fast transport is loading and will invade tomorrow.

Kavieng will be attacked, and should win unless the Allies visit with their planes and ships. Likely that they do.

More troops dispatched to the Aluetians.

12 days in and our light industry repairs are down to 35 or something silly like that. I expanded LI almost 200 points on day 2.

I hope my Petes fly tonight over Palembang, probably another full day before searchlights get there.

It will be interesting to see if the search lights make any difference. There is typically not a lot of early night bombing.

Another wonderful turn full of implications for tactics and direction of the rest of the war. The Allies are no shrinking violets as you shall see. I suspect this game will become an Allied masterpiece on the prosecution of the war, and I highly recommend you follow Obvert's AAR if you are a AFB.

One of my favorite ships starts the carnage off near Sorong in the DEI.

Canberra and another cruiser bombard Kavieng, but the SNLF know how to dig foxholes and suffer very few losses.

Then, the Dutch bombers come screaming in over Brunei where they are all shot down.

But, then, Beasts in the skies over Miri! Buffaloes and Beasts! Oh, my!

It was either escort the bombers or protect Palembang's oil. Easy choice, but Nells with great pilots? That could have been really bad!

Status: offline 		Ankang's runways continue to be bombed - the paratroopers there will be hard pressed. Oscars on LRCAP intercepted a few yesterday, but stood down today. Unfortunately, I forgot to stand down the Anns and they are caught by Flying Tigers over Sinyang and 8 are shot down.

Sinyang besieged! But instead of attacking the Chinese bombard...for fear of repeating another Ichang attack I guess. Level four forts there...bet that will surprise the Chinese.

However, Sinyang is on their own as the crack 34th Division, a mixed brigade, a infantry regiment, and an armored car unit rushes to take the nasty terrain that is the road to Ankang!

Are you able to transfer all the resources from China and Korea through Fusan. I think that you mentioned in your game against Tiemanj that you were able to. I have always wondered how you did this. I just can never seem to get enough going through the port, and when I try, they accumulate all over the place: every port with light industry. Of course, they love to accumulate at Port Arthur more than anywhere else. But I find that I have to run cargo ships from at least one port in China and at least 1 in Korea in addition to Fusan to keep the resource from piling up and to keep Honshu going.

Status: offline 		You took great risks in sending the Nells unescorted. It could have easily ended with 9-10 downed by the Buffs, a no-noes for Japan.

On the other side , it is extrmely remarkable that the Oscars took down a B 17!, and escorted as well, so two extraordinary encounters for Japan.

There is hundreds of posts about this in my AAR with Tiemanj with great contributors (Pax, Alfred, Obvert, Lok, Spidery, and others).

Process is simple: Build the port. Give it naval support. Divide the destination port among two HI ports. Use multiple small task forces - 1-2 ships no more. Base as many ships as is humanly possible at Fusan. Build the draw from Fusan gradually adding a ship every day or so once the lower half of China is taken.

I used to avoid filling up from other bases, but you can do that too as long as it isn't a CS. You can jump start the movement by following the same procedure from Saigon, then Cam Ranh Bay, then Haiphong, then Hong Kong, then Fusan.

Ship fuel and oil anywhere from Cam Ranh Bay and east.

A lot depends upon what has happened previously in the game, port sizes, and most of all it takes time to teach the AI.

I don't worry at all about exceeding the docking limits....it doesn't seem important when there is a mass of single ship task forces...but there is no faster way to move tons of resources. If you ever read Mike Soli AAR with convoys of same ships picked for port size, docking constraints, and material handling levels then this is quite heretical.

Just keep adding Adens and Limas and follow the material flow on Tracker till you reach your objective. With such short trips you can use less efficient merchantmen if you want to.

Fuel is by far and away the quickest to get to flow. Resources next and oil last.

I don't bother to try and get anything to flow from Singers to the east, but that does happen to a degree.

You want to make the port big, and create a steady and growing demand. The AI will figure it out at some point.

Fusan alone at port 8 is enough to serve the daily flow:
Daily loading limit for Res is at 109200 acc to Tracker, if you use it exclusively for Res. Fully conquered China+Manchukuo+Korea+Indochina+Thai produced me ~40000 Res daily surplus in my last stock AI game, subtracting local LI and HI usage. Damages during conquests can vary, but overall results will not deviate much (law of large numbers and such).
But conquests will also get you a stockpile of Allied resourses in the initial stage, so those might swamp the ports now and then.

+1. I just used all the AKLs Japan has for Fusan-Shimonoseki/Fukuoka run. With 2 hex distance fuel efficiency is not important. Only difference from you is that I used 2 large cargo TFs, each able to dock into destination port 10. They were not able to dock into Fusan, but loaded up ok nevertheless, using up daily loading limit just fine

By the way, nav support does not help resourses (or oil) loading
