Hi,
is it right, that the swamp reduce the air defence from units there?
I was surprised as my opponent destroy a unit and told me, it was because of the swamp. I checked it and he was correct.
I think it is the only game, where the swamp reduce air defense. Is that a mistake or designed?
From a logical point of view, this is unclear to me.

Men can't go to ground in the swamp, or else they drown. They can't dig a trench to hide in, it fills up with water. They can't unlimber their AA guns, they will sink in the muck.

And why did they get combat bonus against all others? Should be, that they should subtract one from artillery for example.
What is with the bombs? If I didn't hit dircet (and that should be very few time) the bomb will sink in the muck to.
The trees provide you with some screens.
I'm not sure you are right.

Sorry, I look a second time and see, that they also get -1 against artillery.
I only wonder, because in all other games I played (HoI Series, WitE, ...) swamp is ideal defence terrain and here you need cover from air attacks.

You are right of course, question is, are the settings right.

Think about balance. The soviets will now get some terrain, where they could defend and delay. At the moment, if you put defence on a swamp, they will bomb it out and that was it. If you defend in clear before the swamp the tanks will roll you.

You can improve swamps with your engineers, and then install AirDefense in that Hex.
