My game view keeps centering itself on map away from area I want to zoom in and look at? What do I have accidently set to cause this? Thanks!

You might have selected an unit and pressed T at some point, causing it to autofocus on that unit. Press T again to cancel that.

Maybe you enabled "Map zooms on mouse cursor" in Options->General?
