In ECW files, there is a graphic for a regional decision called "artillery man" that helps an army with artillery during sieges (it comes from Thirty Years War game).
It doesn't appear in the game (for the Parliament). It could be usefull during this period. Were not armies well equipped with artillery during the English Civil War ?

There are several other RGD that are present int the files , but not in the game : deep reconnaissance, cavalry screen, disinformation, loan money. Do you plan to add them later ?

What is the RGD "send garrison" ? Does it allow to create garrisons in distant towns ?

I decided to not add the Artillery man, but it is in the files, so any modder can use it.
Same for others and as you have seen, there are others that could be added later.

yes they were, but were also very heavy and hard to move around, so tended not to keep pace with infantry or cav units either, so unless a fixed siege they tended to stay behind more often than not it seems

Aiming was difficult and the cannon were more effective as a means of instilling fear into the enemy than actually causing damage.

quote:

Artillery was used in the English Civil War. Smaller guns were manoeuvrable enough to follow an advancing army while heavier guns were used in siege warfare and were too heavy and cumbersome to move around. However, the artillery that was used in battles was dispersed and not used in mass batteries and their impact in battles was likely to have been minimal.
